  1. Let me rephrase... Decent Belgian... this century? (The only one I could think of was Sels!)
  2. I'd take Felix here. Could be the 10 behind Isak. Would probably be cheaper than Joao Pedro too
  3. We did try and sign Juma Bah in January but Man City beat us to the punch Who else do they have?
  4. Feel it's been a while since we've had a good German in the team, same with Portugal. Also not had a Turk since Emre. And have we ever had a decent Belgian? We tend to sign in groups/patterns, Coloccini and Gutierrez Argentinians, Cisse and Ba Senegal, the french lot under Pardew, Wijnaldum, De Jong and Williams, Spaniards under Benitez, now Bruno and Joelinton. As nothing is happening and the window is closed - which countries would you like to sign someone from?
  5. Not to start this off after last summer... but Chiesa may be up for sale by Liverpool. He never played there. I'd definitely take him as decent backup across the front line. If we have new RW, Chiesa, Murphy, Gordon and Barnes - that's an excellent set of wingers with a bit of everything.
  6. That's a crazy buy. A worldie, the equivalent of buying Musiala, Bellingham etc not even in their prime yet. What's higher than a purple chip?
  7. Mitchell may be leaving on a free, Targett is more than a good enough replacement for them

    England

Carsley actually was a good fit, and all the games bar one England dominated and played well He knew the players and apart from that crazy experimental game, most of his decisions made sense (even Angel Gomes played well in his games)
  9. Hated him for what he did to Ben Arfa but that 2012 season was the best since SBR for me until the takeover. Bruce is levels and levels above him in terms of hatred, Carver not too far behind, as is Souness and Dalglish.
  10. Scouts would be getting paid 'normal' wages - 50-60k a year. It's mostly part time so probably even less than that
  11. If he's the genius that took Anderson and foisted Vlad on us for £20m - I say sign him up! He owes us big time.
  12. Ronald Araujo and Andreas Christensen of Barca are both currently available for sale. Good for the RCB?
  13. It’s coz we’ve mostly got British players who rarely go over there. Theyve been interested in Miggy and Dubravka, Trippier also as he has the England credentials We don’t have many high level players worth much that they’d sign. If Barnes Willock and Murphy were sexier names or from more exotic backgrounds they might have had some interest
  14. That is cheap for three first teamers in this day and age. Especially considering Liverpool are bidding over 100m for Wirtz. Man City recently are operating in that 30-50m price bracket primarily for potential gems, rather than finished articles. With the odd big money move where needed. Probably a shift in strategy since the flop with Grealish.
  15. Man City are making the kind of cheap European buys I expected us to make under Mitchell Khusanov Bah Cherki Ait Nouri very well run They rarely buy top end and when they do it’s discounted such as Haaland
  16. The most important thing is to get players who may not have come without CL. That calibre. Tonali would never have come if we didn't have CL that season. Elanga and Joao Pedro would come to us regardless of where we finish as they'd be taking a step up to a bigger club. I'd love to see some ambitious names because everyone is majorly strengthening and to improve significantly you have to make up a lot of ground every season.

    João Pedro

We were linked with him. Is expensive but wouldn’t mind him to be our back up CF. High ceiling player and could be an 80m player in a few years
  18. I read an article which Elanga says he’s very close to Isak and they have very good chemistry on the pitch for Sweden. could this be a signing to appease Isak? If Shearer in his prime had said to us to sign Jason Wilcox from Blackburn he knows my game and will get the best out of me we would have probably done it. So perhaps it’s not just Elanga himself, it’s Elanga plus what else he will get out of Isak
  19. I wouldn’t mind him here for that price
  20. We were spoiled with January 22 window. It was like all the excitement was reserved for that window and that window only
  21. Hope is the most oxymoron name for him

    João Pedro

Do many players leave Brighton and go on to better things? Serious question. They seem hyped in their moneyball strategy but other than Caicedo and even he was a slow burn, who’s gone on to great heights after being sold for a huge fee? Mac Allister was sold under market value. Bissouma and Gilmour and Ferguson are a few examples of those that have flopped or declined
  23. If that’s the case I would be making a strong case to Jonathon David right now to come and ease in, share workload this season with a view to taking over as first choice next season. For free we’d be getting a 50m player and would have a very strong pair, maybe the strongest in the league alongside Haaland and Marmoush.
  24. Wouldn’t mind dropping 50m for Maignan plus either Thiaw or Tomori
