I think it was a misunderstanding. Think cisse tried to run cross sissoko and make space on the left where sissoko were heading...and cisse to drag some defenders with him. Makes sense...looked silly though. Notning more....only their second game together. Cisse makes fine runs in generel.

Absolute minimum 8th. CL spots could also happen if we keep our stars. Colo could (or should) leave, replace him rightly and sign a quality striker(/LW). Make sure Jonas will only be on the bench. Shola never again, loan out the youngsters...cos with this squad they wont get first team here. Keep the stars, sell/loan the not needed and sign a couple of quality players - cb and striker/ Lw then we could push for 4th imo.

Exactly, while he might be slightly short of confidence you only have to look at his career, scored goals galore for years and have no doubt he will be banging them in regular for us, he only had 1 chance today but he worked his socks off for 90 mins. He's the least of our worries imo Agree. Missing delivery and tactics he shouldn't be blamed for! Every striker have dry spells....and his isn't even dry. He will never be the type of striker who dribbles 4 defenders and then rounds the keeper....and he doesn't need to be as long as we have players like arfa on the wings. Not that sad/annoyed or irritated. Did ok first half...second so so. Did ok though until they scored their second. did enough and controlled the game up to the mistake beween Taylor and colo. And btw. Krul is horrible at kicking.

What do people want him to do? He is a limited player but such a letal man to have in the box. He should only be in box, help defending and used simply as a targetman. With arfa back he will be better...Jonas does not help him. I Think cisse is really good...a limited player - yes. But with other attacking options and better/more delivery he will be very good!

would love to have him for at least another season. he has been injured for quiet some time this season and needs to find his form in order to attract interest...or the right interest. Im confident that he would like to stay with our new signings and if we keep them in the summer + replacing colo with quality + a new striker, then we have a squad who can achieve anything! Magic stuff coming soon

we came from behind to win colo trashing ba´s face (and getting away with it) is really funny....in a bizarre way... been hard on jonas lately (and rightly so) but i was almost cried when he scored and celebrated. lovely lovely man. sissoko - best deal of the century! incredible

happy about it. it looked nasty after remy went to QPR. We still need quality in that position....but Goof can play wide and replace cisse if needed...god forbid it. Marveaux and arfa on the wings + cabaye and sissoko central - goals can come from anywhere. Marveaux might not be best in LW position but he can do the job there imo. Think our failure in signing remy have put us in a better place.

I have not seen anything that suggest he is better than the Scottish League. He will learn to fight and work hard, i guess. Fine move imo, if he will be a regular starter.

So where do you suggest he went in order to get first team experience?

recently some on here has suggested that we should sell tiote in the summer because of his lack of form this season and the new recruitments in midfield. Personally i think we should keep him + perch, anita, sissoko, cabaye, marveaux and Bigi. He should be used to cover our back 4 and have focus on defending/ball winning and short passing. If he keeps it simple and have passing options then he could be quality. Our Makelele. With cabaye and sissoko just in front him we will have a really good midfield with all the qualities you need. Perch and bigi as (cheap and young) cover. Marveaux + Anita to cover cabaye and sissoko. jonas, gosling not needed. Sammy, ferguson, abeid, amalfitano, vuckic loan. Some of these are not really CMs i know....but i think they all would benefit from a loan move and hopefully first team football.

M´Biwa and Colo looks like the coolest CB pairing we ever had....hope to see them together in most of the games left (before colo leaves). that said.....i have no problem with taylor and i didn´t notice him doing much wrong against villa. I do hope we will sign a new quality CB in the summer, if colo goes. If he stays and we have taylor and M´Biwa also, then i hope we sign a promising young CB and sell Mike W.

I'm not sure it's realistic for a player to go around thinking "he might dive, he might dive..." all the time. Dunno. Not all the time BUT when the player is going away from goal, is almost outside of the box why give the player a chance to dive? Just sheperd him out the box and then put a foot in if need be

soft pen maybe....but he still gave the ref a chance to award it. No need to do that...it was not a dangerous situation. silly mistake. learn from it and move on...

This post should be made into its own thread and stuck at the top of the forum. well said. Agree with most...but the shola sub, come on! no excuses. He did fine as a sub last season for 5-10 minutes. He has been really really poor this season and sometimes like yesterday the task asked of him is very difficult to do. How cant pardew see that. If he came on for the last 5-10 minutes and was put in our own box to defend set pieces i could understand. But he cant run and takes away our chances of counter attacking. It would have been much better to pack the midfield, keep cisse central - not on the wing. Then we could have been a threat on the counter with cisse and for example anita running at them. With cisse out wide and shola on top we do not have anything and that is one of the main reasons why we were such under pressure.
