  1. The only strikers i would keep would be Martins and Loven. Carroll - is a championship striker imo and Xisco - if he was good would of played more games considering the awful amount of injuries to our strikers. yeah, but it could be hard to change 10+ faces in the squad in one window! you are right that martins is important to our team. I dont see lovenkrands better than xisco and caroll....they have more potential i believe! they could partner owen or martins ok i guess....but i wouldnt mind a new good striker like bendtner or some other "big/strong" dude if ameobi, løvenkrands and caroll leaves....just dont believe its the most important department at the moment. Xisco needed adjustment and have been injuried and maybe "looked over" thinking of all the chances ameobi had....couldnt have been worse, too early to write him off (i hope)
  2. basically what we need to do is quiet simple: 1st: Kinnear, most of the coaching staff and D. Wise must leave. 2nd: replace with someone who can work under the budget, but have "full" control over which players goes or comes. I kind of like the idea of a quiet young and unproven (at this level) manager. 3rd: Get rid of players like: Duff, geremi, viduka, smith, butt, ameobi, cacapa (løvenkrands, caroll, owen) keep the defence, cover for LB, buy 1 attacking central midfield or at least CM and buy 1 RW. Depending who goes in attack...we could be sorted in that department if these stays. owen: (which would be good to keep coz we could attract other players and have experience if build a younger side. Has to accept a cut in wages martins: Caroll Xisco
  3. Very true Skirge, I guess this thread all comes down to the choice of manager again. But then with us seemingly looking to do things differently to every other club (the inexperienced DOF system and payment up front/receipt over years), will they be able to entice anyone better? I'm not so sure. 3 x agree Thats just it though, we won't, no manager in their right mind would want the job, I am not convinced even JK will take the new offer if its still on the table, the DOF thing has to go its a stupid idea but then add to it the fact thats its Wise makes it 10x worse again. Every manager wants money but some are able to work on a non massive amount, like Bruce he knows and understands at Wigan that he oes not have fortubes to play with yet has still done a good job. But no way would he want to work under Wise. Works the other way to though, no point having a large budget then giving the money to a iidiot like JK to spend, the balance is what we need, non over the top spending but a clever enough manager whoc an work the trander window. No Wise or any DOF and Bruce with £20mill in a transfer window could be an okay situation, it just won't happen.
  4. cant take this club serious before we get a promising or proven manager with long vision in. I also think a "new" squad is necessary asap: these players have to leave with our manager: cacapa smith ameobi butt geremi duff viduka owen....can stay if he accepts lower wage think about the wages between these players and what they offer wouldn´t be sad if løvenkrands didnt got a new contract either
  5. viduka must leave end of season....which he will do, im sure! If we stay up, im starting to think owen might stay unless he gets 5-10 goals in our survival! ameobi and smith should leave as well! attack next season no 1 first: Owen (if he stays) Martins Xisco/løvenkrands/caroll we will not buy or shouldn´t before we get rid of some
  6. didn´t wanted to start a new thread....but if valencia is going to sell out im really sad about our situation. Would be great to sign some of there players: albiol fernandes joaquin silva (my favorite) villa mata vicente maduro viana know we aint gonna get any of them!
  7. im happy with be no 17th. But would love to end above spurs (not gonna happen) we have so important games left against team around us in the bottom.....its all up to us!
  8. difficult to predict the midfield for this one: Harper S. Taylor Colo Bassong Enrique R. Taylor ? ? Jonas Oba Løvenkrands ameobi should not play.....if løvenkrands dosen´t perform then caroll at half time Its amazing how awful bad our central midfield is. Its the reason for our terrible terrible season....WITHOUT A DOUBT. We hould sack all our central midfielders except nolan and guthrie which both would be decent in the championship next year
  9. The fact that he is still on there proves, beyond all shadow of a doubt, that the management simply don't have a clue. Not a clue. it says everything!
  10. if we go for keeper in the summer it should be kameni....good age and talented out of contract in the summer, i think! keep what we got....i dont want us to spend too much on a keeper!
  11. Aab which i care at least as much for as Newcastle will hopefully be up for the challenge! City have been a lucky to advance in the cup on the behalf of 2 other Danish teams: FCK and FCM....especially against FCM they were lucky! Last night City fielded probably the best side they could.....and i see them as strong contenders to the cup title since the seem to care about the tournament! But it would be truly amazing if Aab could get through! remember we just slammed Deportivo 6-1 over 2 matchees
  12. looked good against everton! believe he can get even better!
  13. He really is. Bendtner is s***. Though I fear you've heard this before. Bendtner isn´t s...! he is only 20 years old! I would love him here to partner Martins! only thing you can blame him for is his immature and selfish attitude, i reckon!
  14. The answer: take Ashley Cole out, he gets nee assists, and get Maynor Figueroa in. Been excellent all season, Wigan get buckets of clean sheets and he gets lots of assists. hth Don't want to waste a transfer though! Going to be the optimist and pick Bassong. i like your optimism, laddie! we will at least get a draw!
  15. guthrie, barton and nolan is the only 3 that should be considered for the central midfield! ....What a shame smith didn´t left for everton before the start of the season.....think KK wanted to keep him ...also a shame we didn´t sell geremi this window.......i don´t believe they will play any important part in our survival this season anyway! ...what we could have was to save a lot of money, thinking of their wages
  16. His record with Wimbledon, not the best squad and shoe string budgets compared to Grant's one year at Chelsea with a gazillion in his budget and a squad full of already made stars. Neither is good enough for us though, but Kinnear is the lesser of the two evils. Not to mention I've made a fairly long post going on about what I base it on just two posts above yours f***ing hell, Im not the biggest fan of Grant myself but Im really struggling to see where your coming from. Grant is worthy of an appointment on the basis of alone that he's not Kinnear, its difficult to say he did a brilliant job at Chelsea, Id like to see how kinnear would do at Chelsea in the exact same circumstances, my guess is that CL final, PL runner up and Carling Cup runners up would be nothing but a pipe dream in Jose's little potato head. You can't compare it that way though, as our situation at the time Keegan left didn't call out for someone who had managed a major club, it called out for someone to come in and stabilize the ship. And when nobody else came in, we got Kinnear. And he was probably quite a long way down on Ashley's "to-call list". On the other hand, he has experience from handling a situation similar to our current financial predicament, and has done well in the past with a s*** side by hammering into their heads a "us against the world" mentality, just what we appeared to be needed, and still seem to need at the moment. Having appointed Avram Grant at the same time would perhaps have been a better choice of manager on paper, but he has never been used to a shoe-string budget, nor a relegation fight or to attempt keeping morale up in a club the entire world seemed to think would blow up due to all the turmoil. He has a name, that's it. We don't know his ability with a club that's not filthy rich and already have a successful squad. I'd not have been willing to take such a chance on a manager just because of his name, hence why I think Kinnear under our current circumstances is the better option of the two. And will remain the better option until we have a bottomless transfer kitty or an already successful squad. Though then again, we'd not be looking at Grant as he'd not be good enough anyways. Kinnear is a manager for teams that have an uphill struggle. Grant is a manager for teams that don't have any struggle because the players are good enough to work without a manager. I'm amazed people even need to think about who'd they'd rather have of Kinnear and Grant. Just because Kinnear hasn't done all too well with us, does not mean Grant would have done better. I'd gladly put all my money on the contrary. I still think neither are good enough for us though, as I've said before. I just think Kinnear is the obvious lesser evil here. its never been a question which of the 2 i prefer! I dont want any of them.....dont believe they can offer what we need! definitely not kinnear...he cant develop the concept i would like us to have...and Grant i dont see as the man to turn everything around here!
  17. 1. Makelele was'nt any good at this time 2. Why was Drogba focused, and why isn't he now? 3. Incorrect. It was almost an entire season. On top of this Scolari made his signings in the summer and aside from Bosingwa failed. Grant bought one player, Anelka who has been a very good purchase. I'm not saying Grant is an excellent manager, Im saying that saying he's not good enough for us is preposterous. drogba and essien were brilliant last season....and this season they both been injured alot...dont underestimate the importance of that! grant did well for chelsea....but cant really see him being successful here.....at least not at this point!
  18. that was my point about robinho!
  19. ok ok....maybe im wrong! All im saying is that i dont believe A. grant is the right person for us....and personally i would prefer someone else! Of course what he did for chelsea was almost perfect.....but if scolari & chelsea had the drogba with the form from last season and robinho i serious believe they would picked up 5-10 points more this season and scolari would still be there. ....i know its scolaris fault he want all in for robinho
  20. Drogbas form this season and scolari missing out on robinho have cost them 5-10 points this season.....thats why he got sacked...which is stupid in the first place! grant had a perfect squad when he took over after mourinho.....of course grant did a good joob....i just dont think he is anything special....personally i dont want him here!
