  1. Even more annoying all the games are being played at the same time.
  2. Sheff Weds 97 passes Saints 413
  3. It's shocking. Southampton having their way with them here.
  4. Didn't Wednesday beat us last season?
  5. Southampton absolutely pissing this.
  6. No way Ward-Prowse should be playing in this league.
  7. Thought Russell Martin was that Norwich manager.
  8. But in what’s relative to us, Almiron is one of our best players and he was scoring, assisting, threatening last season and even scored in the pre season so I know he’ll be very important to us this season. Personally I’ve tried improving my weak left foot and after about eight months of training, it’s gotten maybe 5% better and it still feels unnatural to use it unless it’s in an instinctual position. I heard Shearer say when he got into the Southampton first team, he started working on his left foot and coaches told him to stop as it would curtail his development. I remember Antonio Vanencia being extremely one footed and he played over 300 times for Man Utd. It’s not the be all end all. Seven years after the joining the club, people went mad when he used his left foot. https://www.sportsjoe.ie/amp/football/antonio-valencia-crossed-the-ball-with-his-left-foot-and-everyone-freaked-out-109007 Edit: if Eddie was unhappy with Miggy’s cutting in on his left all the time, wouldn’t he play him left wing to maximize his attributes? He obviously sees it as a plus and thus plays right wing despite being left footed.
  9. Well Robben only had one move and it worked for him. One footed or not, the guy has 20 Premier League goals and a number of assists to his name so it’s not like it’s effecting him too much.
  10. Yea James IMO is the best RB in the world if fit. I say this all the time, but when he received the ball, he does so with his studs fully on top of it. You see goalkeepers do it to show they have complete control but they have time. For a RWB to do it is insane. Shows that players are afraid to press him. It was nice seeing Gordon get some change out of him in the friendly.
  11. Miggy always had final third quality. He just missed his chances like on his debut against Everton. I have no problem with him being our preferred right sided attacker for the next three to four seasons. He’s older, wiser and a genuine threat to full backs. You have to remember Miggy is 29 now and is in the prime of his career. As players retire and new ones come in, Miggy will be a a step or two above them and as they’re finding their feet, Miggy will be running past them as he’s gotten over the initial teething problems that come along with being a Premier League footballer Between Gordon, Barnes, Almiron, Isak, Wilson, and Joelinton if needed, we have enough fire power to make it through the season IMO. We were having trouble finding a place for Maxi toward the end of the season so I think we’ll be okay going forward. And as far as Miggy not being as good as Salah, Mahrez, Saka, Foden, that’s fine because he doesn’t have to be. I think Isak and Wilson will shepherd that responsibility. If Miggy can chip in with 8-10 PL goals, that’s a bonus and I’m fully convinced he’s capable of that
  12. I like fast talking Smiv's football blogs. Does hospitality visits really well. Great edits and easy to digest.
  13. Neuer for me. Revolutionized the position.

    MLS

That's crazy. I paid like $50 for America vs Argentina in 2011 Redbull Stadium. Wanted to see Man U Arsenal at the Metlife last week but tickets ranged from $180 onwards. Strange times.
  15. Ramsdale is a weak link. They're right to be searching for goalkeepers.
  16. Was wondering what happened to the PFA Team of the Year so had a google search. The 50th PFA Awards will be held at the Lowry Theatre on Tuesday 29th August. The Awards will take on an exciting new format with further details to follow soon! On the night, we will announce the winners of the PFA Players’ Player of the Year winners, the PFA Young Player of the Year categories and each divisional Team of the Year will be named. In addition to the PFA Players’ Player of the Year and PFA Young Player of the Year, we will honour footballing achievement through the PFA’s Merit Award.
  17. What on earth was the goalkeeper doing for that Brighton goal? Gets worse on every watch.
  18. Edit - already posted in Bruno thread
  19. Really like the Man U kit. Looks smart. Looks even better when they’re playing. Like Sporting Lisbon.
  20. Went with my brother on Sunday and we spent $39 on two hot dogs and two large sodas.
  21. Think a good way for the MLS to accelerate growth would have been to put it on regular TV. It’s even harder to access now that it’s on Apple TV. Was watching an AFTV program yesterday with some British ex pats and they were saying how the PL is such a “smash hit”. It just made think about how small the MLS really is. Any good player produced by the MLS will be snapped by Europe ie Alphonso Davies, Dempsey, even Miggy. Hold outs like Landon Donovan will be seen as players who never fulfilled their potential. The MLS is that thing you feel like you should be watching but never get around to. I have a bunch of friends I went to high school with who weren’t into soccer 15 years ago but now they’re Liverpool fans or Chelsea fans. It’s like basketball in England. No one supports the Dairylea Dunkers. They support NBA teams.
  22. Think Toney would be their best bet no pun intended.
  23. Is the Saudi league even on TV? I’ve never come across it.
  24. Trippier does not like playing with Murphy.
  25. No, Inter Miami thinking Puerto Ricans, Cubans and Domicans play football. They don’t. They play baseball and their baseball team doesn’t speak Spanish so why does their football team? Doesn’t sit right.
