  7. nufc.com: Having made their initial preparations for the 2009/10 season at a training camp in the Republic of Ireland, it's claimed that this coming summer will see Newcastle make a return to the same venue. Sunday's edition of the Dublin-based Business Post newspaper carried an interview with the general manager of Carton House Country Club and Golf Course - United's base in July 2009 before their game at Shamrock Rovers. And as part of that piece, the Post went on to claim that. "Already confirmed (as guests) for the upcoming season are Newcastle United." Carton House is 14 miles inland from Dublin in the County Kildare town of Maynooth.
