  1. newcastle has made a new 3,1million £ for brede hangeland again.... just came on the news after fc copenhagen got knocked out of champions league.... and hangeland is positive over a move... although during the interveiw their chairman looked into hanging on to him.... newcastle was the only club who had a new bid... but there was at least 5-6 clubs on the stands looking at hangeland...
  2. we should really get hangeland, he looked really exellent against argentina, held down all opposition... intelligent player, position quite well. not bad taking out players like javier saviola... braathen btw looked exellent as well.. gabriel milito who is a really decent full back was beaten in almost every duell... to bad we didnt go for him.... carew scored both of norways goals..... (sry for the norway updates.. just had to say so) didnt watch much of roz game but roz looked sturdy as hell the bit i looked... i recon all of you saw the england game, but owens coming back nicely.... should have scored...

    Daniel Braathen

Yep! -I'm a Rosenborg-fan. And from that I know Braaten have a potential Rosenborg haven't been able to bring out of him. A authoritarian coatch (f.ex. Allardyce) would be perfect for Braaten. Even if many people here will laugh at me, I dare to say Braaten have potential enough so he could be a replacement for Dyer. -But that's not a case now, Bolton have signed Braaten for the funny price of £415.000. Rosenborg didn't have much choice since he would be a Bosman-player at the end of the year. well well

I disagree on all points, we will never have the flair of the Brazilians but why can't we have the technique of the Dutch, a small footballing nation - a fellow European nation? All kids want to do with a ball is run with it, dribble, do tricks and to skin their opponent, yet they aren't being encouraged to do this or rather coaches and junior teams don't see this as part of OUR game, like you said, and concentrate on our strengths. It is a culture thing as we are famous for our spirit, work rate, strength and honesty but for my money, these things don't need to be coached, they are already in us, just like the falir is in Brazilians. We need to remove that mindset and concentrate solely on skill, technique and flair. i was in nederland a couple of years ago playing vm in school soccer... during these days we were often out just watching how the training grounds where, and a lot of the training. during these ours we could see alot of technical development, but most of this was during play and just general fun! i can see now that some of the norwegian teams have adopted some of these traits and i dont see how it should be so hard do the same in england (altough i havent been to england and dont know how it is there) we also played the rotterdam (cant remember team name) youth team (wich we lost 2-1). and these youngster were far more technical then us.. but i recon that england will always have someone over there just looking at different training technices and adopt them... the problem is just to get it down to the general parenter or coach!

    Daniel Braathen

i recon daniel braathen as possibly the best players in the norwegian league, or at least the one with still the biggest potential... the only problem is that he has yet to get out of rosenborgs contracts and far far away from this club! many bigger teams have been sniffing on him lately, as they have done the last 4 years! but yet noone have taken the chance to pick him up! and now hees a freebie (in a couple of months) i think with someone who could kick his ass around a bit (big sams the man), and training with a team with far better players could just only finally release his true potential... wich ive seen both on tv in matches and on the training pitch! (just take the matches against real madrid in CL or the latest national games!) the best possible thing to do, is to take the player on a freebie, sign him on a two year deal. or even a one year deal with a possible extention (wich i think he acually would agree to, becouse he wants to do the step up) in that case, he would be a very cheap risk and also a possible sale if he doesnt release his potential (im not saying we will get 10£ for him.. but still well probably get the money for the wages and sign on fee) so what im thinking is very easy... why not? its a cheap freebie with potential... i wouldnt be dissapointed
