  1. O say can you see, by the dawn's early light, What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming, Whose broad stripes and bright stars through the perilous fight, O'er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming? And the rockets' red glare, the bombs bursting in air, Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there; O say does that star-spangled banner yet wave O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave? On the shore dimly seen through the mists of the deep, Where the foe's haughty host in dread silence reposes, What is that which the breeze, o'er

  5. It's ... impossible. They have no specific area. They'll exist in the tiniest far flung corners or darkest holes. And the collateral damage inflicted by going after them inevitably gives rise to the next generation. IMO The only cure is compassion and building better societies where the disease cannot take root and cannot grow. Raqqa would be a good start Granted. To clarify I mean that you won't ever "wipe them out", per se, through occupation of a single territory. True, but what we can do is destroy the areas they use as command centres, such as Raqqa, and by destroying their

  7. Indeed he is, Mr. Torrance. A very wilful boy. A rather naughty boy, if I may be so bold, sir. Son, all I've ever asked of my marines is that they obey my orders as they would the word of God.

A Song of Ice and Fire

To be fair, I only read them after the first series was on TV. Who's the poor cunt who's been reading them from the start, Quakes Mag? If I was him there would be some kind of Misery scenario going down.

A Song of Ice and Fire

I agree it's totally selfish from the readers but he's 65 and morbidly obese. He'll be dead before it's finished. I imagine there's millions more people appreciating his work now than there was 10 years ago. I suppose you can blame the internet generation for the dickheads emailing that shite. If he does die then he can can reclaim the word troll from people like that. Basically what I am saying is that I want the story to progress at least a few more years so that we can see some Arya sex scenes. I think we are all in agreement on that.

A Song of Ice and Fire

He's 65 and morbidly obese. And he's written himself into a corner that looks like it'll need at least two books to get it finished. You can't totally blame the internet age for his fans frustrations. Imagine if Bryan Cranston had died before they'd finished the last episode of Breaking Bad,or if Pacino had died before Godfather 3.

I've got a half sister that i've never met but I'd rather know more about Mike's life than hers.

Out of my 131 days of lurking this forum the funniest thing i've ever seen was Mike talking about Keeping Up Appearances. Surreal. Either that or the fact he buys watermelon under the cover of darkness.

The first time was because I was a kid and she put out regularly. I just got caught out. After that, being well brought up, I tried to do the right thing. Married her, got a job, tried to give my son a stable family. The second was down to me still trying to keep a family together despite the obvious facts in front of me. Namely that she didn't give a shit about me. We split up when she was four months pregnant with him. Alright Bruce, calm doon
