Took my 2 lads to the York game yesterday. Massive buzz and great atmosphere around the ground when news of the Braintree goal came through, only for that to be shattered with the last kick of the game winner for Rochdale. Was a shame, as my kids were really excited at the prospect of seeing York lift the trophy at full time, but had a great time overall. Will definitely be taking them to some more York games, decent little ground and atmosphere and decently priced Brew York beers in the concourse too!

It is pretty mental that we've just given up on him being a starting striker for us in the last few months. He/we struggled to involve him much at times but he was completely new to the league and had notched 9 goals and a couple of assists before Xmas and shown some great little flashes of skill and creativity.

If Howe did say that directly in response to a question about Gordon then I don't think it's unreasonable to assume that this injury is a load of bollocks

Slight injury. How convenient
-
Also how is this an exclusive, he's clearly been open to leaving for 2 years

Always makes me laugh when a player claims to have outgrown a club after putting in bang average performances for an extended period of time. If he'd scored more than 5/6 goals from open play in the last couple of seasons we'd probably be right up there. Be accountable you prick

£35-45m? Aye righto. Counter offer of £10m for Kane

It is mad when you think about it. Here, have an 80% chance of a goal because the ball inadvertently hit someone's hand on the edge of the box which was going nowhere
-
There was just absolutely no need. Why give the ref even a chance to consider a penalty in that situation. It's clearly a foul, often not given, but it's absolute idiocy to pull someone's shirt like that in the box

So frustrating the lack of proactive changes in the second half. Miley hasn't played for months and plays the full game and looked knackered after 70mins. Same for Osula, we've got two strikers on the bench, use them. Elanga could have been on for Murphy who was completely ineffective. Just drifting along and hoping we hold onto the lead isn't good enough tbh

As someone who is going to York's final home game of the season, I hope you're wrong

The issue with Williams will be the price. Forest will have our pants down again for someone who most seem to suggest will be the backup/cover option for both full back positions. It just wouldn't be a good use of limited funds. There must be a player not in the PL who would be decent cover for full back and cost half the price of Williams

What's our actual team news for this then? Miley and Bruno back? Botman?
-
And if not we always have Brett Emerton as the back up option.

I live in York, got tickets for the last home game of the season, hoping it may be a promotion clincher!

Interesting, thanks! Paying six figure sums for 13 year old children is really weird, but guess that's the football world we live in now. Hopefully we manage to keep hold of most of them and we have some first team options coming from the youth teams in a few years

Are most of the lads in this under 15s team ones who have been brought in, or are the majority local lads?
-
Pretty sure Kieran Maguire, who seems to be the media go to for anything relating to football finance, has said previously that we could spend £500m in one transfer window and be fine PSR-wise, so I'd take anything he says regarding transfer budgets with a pinch of salt

I thought Woltemade was one of our better players today

What's their injury news regarding the keeper and Ballard?
-
What's their team news for Sunday? Did I see somewhere that Ballard went off injured at the weekend? And what about the keeper?
-
Yeah and Tonali's wasn't revealed/announced until much later. Not saying we shouldn't be concerned about it, but I'm sure talks/negotiations are and have been ongoing for a while
