Pardew's been abysmal this season, no question. But all this "greatest squad since Bobby"... im less sure of, reckon some of our players are overrated on here. Most of our players have major deficiencies. Krul can't kick. Santon can't defend. Tiote gets caught on the ball. Ben Arfa is always injured. Marveaux is hit and miss. Cisse doesn't understand offside. Cabaye gets depressed. And thats our good players. In conclusion, everything is bad.

Pardew having a mare. But the players don't escape either. Some of them couldn't trap a bag of cement. No one is showing for the ball. Anita, while having ability is so light weight you'd wonder if he can ever make a real impact in this league as a centre mid.

He's been a pretty underwhelming signing so far. Not skilful enough to be a playmaker, not physical enough to be a defensive mid. Invisible a lot of the time. Not going to be a regular source of goals. His passing, much lauded on here, doesn't seem anything above average to me. I really want to be proved wrong and wont give up on him yet, but his few decent-to-good games have not justified the outlay.

Actually not true about Cisse, he's managed to make the ball stick a couple of times. What exactly do you expect him to do? He has literally no support or quality service or movement around him. Yeah, brilliant layoff from Cisse just there. More of that please.

Cisse offering next to nothing in general play. Anita anonymous. We need him to put his foot on the ball and take control. We're losing the ball in really dangerous areas repeatedly. It's not just lack of movement - there's been some brutal first touches out there.

Surely he's been asked about Williamson and rather than say "yeah that's Willo finished here" he's found something encouraging to say for the players benefit. I mean it has to be, right?

Posts like this always make me snigger. People seem to think that managing a massive Premiership club is like a walk in the park. Just play 433, lump all the flair players on, set mentality from control to overload when behind or not winning, but whatever you do, never go back. Simples. FM has a lot to answer for. Nailed it.

An end to hoofing and 4-4-2 wont fix this team. When we actually try to play football on the deck its scary how bad we are. Players get caught on the ball so often in this team. Some dreadful first touches. Headless decision making. So little composure or awareness. Good times.

Hmm. I'm not convinced that it's all to do with being "negative" or whatever. It could be that our attacking players, while talented, are all a bit headless on a scale of Obertan to Ba.

But we didn't try so hard to qualify for it. We were trying for the champions league. We didn't make it and got this instead. I'll be surprised to see us a field a strong team before the knock out stages (if we squeeze through).

Here's my take. I think we tried to play carpet football for a period today. But Norwich's pressing game put us under pressure after we took the lead. There were a lot of triangles happening in tight spaces, but Norwich got in Guthrie and especially Cabaye's face and got a lot of joy. This is the kind of game we should be looking for Cabaye to dictate but lately he seems to be struggling with the intensity of the games. I'd rest him if we had any other viable option. As our midfield ceded more and more possession and territory we went longer and longer. I was delighted to see Ameobi which says it all. Having two guys at the back who treat the ball like a grenade is killing us as well. Also, Norwich are not a bad side and we are not as far ahead of them squad-wise as we'd like to think. Its very easy to blame everything on Pardew but I think our players look knackered an low on confidence at the moment.

This. People's memories are so short sometimes. Our greatest keeper ever surely. It could have ended better yeah, but I won't forget all the fantastic performances he put in for us over the years. Owen on the other hand...life's too short to hate people. Forget about it.

Been following Gibsons (fairly patchy) international career closely. While I'm sure he'd be decent at this level we are well stocked in centre midfield. Even if Butt goes I'd rather see us reinforce other positions.

Where do Spurs get so much money from? They spend like a champions league side.

Givens our best keeper in premiership history and should end his career here. I can't believe all the people writing off, he's had some bad luck and some bad injuries. I think he'll be our no. 1 this season and prove what a valuable asset he still is. Harper is a very solid keeper but for sheer innate ability, Shay was and im betting still is clearly superior.

4 in, 4 out is far more likely. Plus maybe a couple of promising youngsters. A bit of stability will do us no harm...and theres no way, Viduka, Geremi and Butt are going anywhere. They've all been instrumental in our revival and although "ideally" we'd all like better, patience is key.

I stopped hating teams after we lost the title to United. Far too much energy spent achieving nothing. Nowadays, I dislike Liverpool's style of play and would prefer a proper footballing side to be champs of europe. But I don't hate them (or any one).
