  1. Looks like it’s heading west Landed at East Midlands airport The closest airport to........ Sports Direct HQ
  2. Is the fat cunt back from Miami ?
  3. GLF6 going from Farnborough to East Mids Other private jets going from Saudi to Farnborough Ashley’s chopper is up and doing random loops over Farnborough What does it all mean ?
  4. No way to work out where that GLF took off from before it got above Egypt ? If it comes in to land from Tynemouth then I can climb on my roof to try and see the registration number
  5. Ah man, could have done without this today. Clear blue skies, not a breath of wind, jobs to do in the garden, beers in the fridge. But now I’m spending another day glued to my computer tracking this fucking jet. Flightradar is worse than crack. I have to use my big dual screen monitors, wear a headset and talk to the pilot like I’m in air traffic control

  7. Whenever I get worn out with this I just go on Flightradar for 6 or 7 hours, then all is right with the world
  8. Rafa's full time base wasn't here either (his family never moved up here also), so I would imagine it would be something of a similar arrangement if it was him. Think Rafa's main home was nearer Liverpool actually, have a feeling his family stayed there when he worked in Italy because he didn't want to uproot his kids. On the Wirrall innit
  9. Is the suggestion that the plane was dropping off the presenter gadge with the orange tie and the out of control barnet ? One things for sure, that video definitely wasn't filmed today, no 50mph gusts of wind battering the presenters thatch. Must have been yesterday.
  10. Aye, saw that. Just as it was angling to land my VPN went down and I lost it. Doncaster/Sheffield is the closest airport to Shirebrook afaik, Mandy is from around there too. Amanda is from North Yorkshire and when in the UK lives between there and London. The closest airport to her is actually either Teesside or Leeds/Bradford, either way if she coming in from her Yorkshire home then she wouldn’t fly in. The airplane from Doncaster is likely just an aircraft that has been chartered from Newcastle and was already based at Doncaster. No one would fly from Doncaster to Newcastle. It is 2 to 2.5 hours away to drive, and an hour and a half a half away on the train. And it's proper windy, be shitting me pants landing in a small plane in them gusts today.
  11. I live about four miles away from the airport, but we aren't on the flightpath, so we never get planes directly overhead. In the middle of the night I was woken up by a very LOUD plane flying directly overhead, never heard anything like that here before. So I immediately thought (still 95% asleep) "that's them, the Saudis, flying in from a different direction from normal planes" and then I went straight back to sleep. It may all have been a dream of course, but in the morning I felt it was real !!! (how 'wound up' into all this, am I . . .. ) There's only two ways to land a plane at Newcastle. Straight in from Whitley Bay area, straight in from Hexham area. Anything else would end in disaster. Unless the Saudi private planes are like Harrier jump jets. Maybe you heard the Northumbria Police Ghetto Bird tracking some villains ?
  12. Not really. A Learjet took off from Jeddah not long ago but it hasn't got the range to reach the UK. A GL5T took off from Biggin Hill heading south not long ago (over france now), kind of keeping an eye on where that's going. There's not a single plane in the sky anywhere north of Leeds and south of Edinburgh. Just clouds, birds, insects and leaves for hundreds of miles.
  13. Suggesting that the investigation is on going and that we'll find out eventually If a Saudi gadge working for PIF is stood on Barrack Road over the next few days dangling the newly acquired keys to St James' Park in front of a press photographer then I think we could safely assume the mystery was solved
  14. Why would they need to come to Newcastle in your scenario ? I'm with you in that I think its happening but I dont get why anyone would need to physically come here ? Two reasons: 1. Physical collection of property. I’d imagine there is an emotional attachment and won’t feel real or like they can get properly started unless they establish some physical space for themselves at the club. 2. Ego. As seen in a few documentaries about super rich from that part of the world they like to show off their new toys amongst themselves and this is as big as they come. If you are muslim you would understand. Why would they come to Newcastle on their biggest holiday of the year? Would you go to Saudi on Chirstmas eve. A private jet flew from Jeddah to Riyadh to London to Newcastle, spent 1hr in Newcastle, then flew direct back to Riyadh yesterday. It may be the Muslim equivalent of Xmas eve, but the journey happened, it’s a fact. Who was on board and what they were doing in Newcastle is a mystery at the moment.
  15. Dry run to see how long it takes to get to work and back, a bit like when you start a new job. So no then Be very odd if it’s not linked to the takeover, I think we can assume that much But be careful about indulging in plane talk on here, it can get messy very quickly
  16. And there we go, the private jet is back in Riyadh after her whistle stop visit to Newcastle. Whatever they've been doing it must have been an important or essential journey for a private plane to fly from Saudi to London, then Newcastle, then back to Saudi in less than 24 hrs, during a global pandemic.
  17. Aye loads. I know the plane chat got a bit out of hand, but the facts are that a private jet flew from Saudi Arabia overnight, landed in Newcastle this morning, stayed an hour, took off again and is now approaching Riyadh.
  18. What about if the planespotters only comment on the private jet that flew from Saudi to Newcastle this morning and is on its way back to Saudi now ? All other planes are off limits.
  19. GLF5 still making steady progress to Saudi Arabia, where does it end up though, last night it was in both Jeddah and Riyadh before it flew to Stansted then on to Newcastle
  20. GLF4 looks like its landing in Benghazi. Can focus 100% of my attention on GLF5 now.
  21. It hasn't caused any arguments. It seems to keep people calm. It's like visual valium. I saw the plane from my window at 9am. I've been watching it on Flightradar since 9.05am. They've got at least another couple of hours until they land. That's my day sorted.
  22. Not by much, they are still parallel and are pretty much heading south before banking east to avoid Kosovo etc. Next few minutes will be telling. Had to leave my flightradar screen for a bit, so did GLF5 land on a Greek island and is now heading north again ? Picking up Nikos Dabizas I reckon, wasn't he touted for a job under the new regime Nope, it's still heading South East. Just finished a bit of work I had to get out there, so back on flight radar it is. Fucking bliss Another GLF4 took off from Jeddah a few minutes ago, seems to be going the wrong way though. Mandys helicopter landed at Biggin Hill then a while later LJ45 private jet took off heading south, probably off to pick up Bale. https://www.flightradar24.com/LJ45/248a15aa The interesting one is a C56X which took off from Nice heading for the UK https://www.flightradar24.com/C56X/248a000f That LJ45 is flying in the same sort of path as the GLF4 and 5. That's also on my stare list now. Thank fuck i work with dual monitors, can track all three at once. This calls for an ice cream, just need to peel myself away to go get one. For the last 10 mins I thought GLF4 was headed to Africa, but they're back on track towards the Gulf again now so all is well. At least at the end of today I'll have achieved something and will know how long it takes a Gulfstream 5 to fly from Newcastle to Riyadh. That'll come in useful for small talk at parties.
