I think you can read between the lines The Dundee group had used an unofficial tour operator for the match, the tour operator have a large number of NUFC season tickets they use to make money by selling group packages to schools, clubs etc Dundee High have then inadvertently blown the lid off the scam The unofficial tour operator has had their collection of season tickets cancelled so the Dundee group will have had their trip cancelled Be interesting to see if the Dundee group get their money refunded by the tour operator

And give verified members the facility to transfer their ticket to another verified member via the club system, the same way ST's can be resold or shared So people still have some flexibility if they buy a ticket to give to someone else, or have a ticket but can't make the game etc. If the only way to share a digital ticket is via the club and it can only be done at no cost or face value, then the touts will move on as there's no money to be made And if someone is sharing all of their tickets, then they're almost certainly touting

As long as we have unlimited, unverified, low cost (to a tout) memberships then they'd just sign back up again straight away and sell on a different platform The entire process needs an overhaul to make it harder for fake accounts to buy tickets Or we go back to paper tickets issued a few days before the game (yes, yes, I know we won't) because that would stop the majority of touting dead in its tracks

Yet they froze my account multiple times for daft issues such as paying with my credit card for one match and then using my debit card for the next match And they didn't even bother to tell me they'd frozen my account, I only found out when I couldn't pay for a ticket in my basket and rang to investigate

It's just utter fucking disinterest, laziness and complacency on the part of the club It'd take a moment to have a look at the membership number that bought the ticket and then freeze their account pending investigation Ultimately the biggest issue is that we have relatively low cost unlimited memberships all season long, we have tickets that can be emailed to anyone, all tickets for all games are available to anyone with a membership regardless of how long they've been a member and there's no verification required to sign up And we always sell out We're a touts wet dream, it's like shooting fish in a barrel for them

I think we all know they didn't give a shit until this Dundee scenario hit the press. Also Hoppy arriving at the same time is likely a factor. A new CEO needs to be seen to be taking action @Wallsendmag even gave them the precise details of a touted ticket and the club said they weren't interested to investigate further

From what I read they bought them from a "Tour Operator" who does trips to SJP So the Tour Operator has a load of ST's in the same part of the ground that they buy every year and then markets them as a job lot on a game by game to schools, societies or whatever Charge them a "package price" so you get a mark up on each ticket If you don't sell them all as a job lot, just do an official ST resale or if it's a high profile game put them on a touting site Decent bunce for not having to do much other than a bit of marketing

Getting in at 5k and getting one was some achievement yesterday Myself and various other N-O resale warriors were in at 1.5k - 2.5k and couldn't get a sniff of a ticket, despite having finely honed basketing techniques and highly lubricated F5 fingerblasters

Why Dundee ? Why a private school ? Why 45 tickets ? Why were their tickets allocated straight after fixtures announced ? Was it NUFC who allocated the tickets ? How many other random organisations in random parts of the country get loads of NUFC tickets ? Why am I paying for membership to not win a ballot in 50 games ? Why were there next to no general sales tickets available yesterday ? Is dressing up as Wee Jimmy Krankie my best chance of getting into the Barca game ? So many questions We won’t get any answers
