Thanks for the screen grab as that's what I remember happening too, and why I wasn't going to put all the blame entirely on Santon. Just couldn't understand why our guys are making no attempt to get on side and worse yet, asking for the ball. Yes criminally bad ball by Santon but think as a team we were asking for trouble.

Really wish SSN would stop getting Gary Mabbutt to come on and talk about Spurs
-
If Ben Arfa was inform and being picked by Pardew I'd say go with the team that beat Villa (with Gouff instead of Cisse ofcourse) But with that not being likely then the same team as away to Man United should be enough to get the win I'd hope.
-
He does seem to amble back sometimes. Considering I would think he is probably one of our fastest sprinters, it doesn't look great when he half heartedly trots back. Not going to give him a hard time though as I like Santon and don't agree that needs dropping.

Fair to say Norwich probably can't attract quite as good players as we can. Not that it means anything. In fact not quite sure what the hell everyone is going on about it here. Cya

It's no surprise we haven't had a comprehensive win away from home when we fail to score more than 2 goals in home games as well.

the thought of swapping Ben Arfa for McGeady

Cardiff did spend quite a bit in the summer to be fair.
-
He'd be electric at Liverpool. I'd fucking hate to see him at any other premier league club as you know he'd be awesome and we'd be all
-
He's talking about the first game of the season against Man City. Quite frankly wasn't true. Mbiwa was fine then Taylor stupidly got sent off and Mapou switched to CB and Dummett came on to play left back.
-
Feels like the players will get fined if they go for a third after scoring two. Can't wait for the day we do score three again, although I can see it being something lame like that Wigan game where we limped along against 10 men for most of the game, rather than win in style.

Gouffran missed some absolute sitters at the start of the season. One against West Ham I think and the other against Fulham.
-
Think our last 6 away form reads something like LWLWLW Guess we're due a loss then?
-
Dropping Remy would be ludicrous in my opinion. Sure he missed a few chances but he's still comfortably our best striker and scares opponents with his movement, particularly away from home. Shola is far more useful in home games.
-
Depends who you believe but the other theory is he didn't pick those players but was given them by Baldini.
-
Jaime Redknapp sounded bitter as fuck on SSN when talking about Spurs because his Dad lost his job there.
-
I feel he must have been told not to bomb on so far ever since the Everton game. Think both full backs have been noticeably more solid defensively ever since.
-
Saw some quotes from Pardew saying how it won't be cheap if teams want to take Cisse. Kinda get the feeling he's starting the motion of phasing him out. I know he's saying he doesn't want to sell him but I think that's just to make sure it doesn't seem like we want to give him away. Any decent offer and I think they will accept.

Agree about Haidara. Would be a bit nervous to put him in from the start in the premier league still. Maybe give him a start in the upcoming FA cup game. I am quite intrigued to see how we do with a left footed left back again. See if it gives us a better balance? I mean it's been a long time since we had a regular left footed left back with Ryan Taylor playing there post-Enrique and then obviously Santon since.

Liverpool really made me stand up and take notice today. They absolutely battered Spurs from start to finish. At the same time, Spurs were horrific. Having to play a young midfielder adapting to a new league at CB against Suarez was always going to be a nightmare. But everything about them was poor. Absolutely nothing in the whole game for the home fans to get excited about.
-
I noticed again against Southampton but when Ben Arfa came on and got the ball, everyone runs away from him. That could be because they know he likes taking on the defender, or they know he isn't likely to pass. But what's important is they don't do it with Gouffran. When he gets it the rest of the team move for him as they know he isn't as comfortable taking on defenders. Simple small thing but actually makes a lot of difference to the way we attack.
-
Think he made a mistake for the goal but also don't think he should take all the blame. No idea why about four of our players were just standing completely offside. Didn't leave him with a whole lot of options and he seemed to panic and just try to chip a ball over the top.

Don't start the body language bollocks on here again He missed a good chance, it happens, move on.

People's standards seem to be incredibly strict when it comes to a player like Ben Arfa. They ignore the good stuff he does but then slaughter him if he makes a bad decision or takes a bad corner. If it was a lesser player I don't think anyone would bat an eyelid at his "mistakes" today. They were hardly that bad, and having so little time to impress of course one mistake is magnified.
-
Genuinely mystified what he thinks offside is. He's basically permanently standing off.
