Nah man. Someone like Lingard is far more important than another CB. This kind of thought process is so wild me to me. Like we all watch football right?! Midfield dictates everything, including how the opposition deals (or doesn’t) with your defense. CB is not nearly as important as a better midfield.

I know what you mean, and why you would see it that way, but our quality in midfield is even less than our quality at CB. If we get even one decent midfielder with some legs/creativity it takes such a massive amount of pressure off of our defense and they will look a much better unit.

Alli, Lingard, Carlos, and maybe one surprise, keeps us up 100%.

Unsurprisingly looked 100x better playing further up the pitch.

And to think we’ve dropped 21 from winning positions this season.
