I would rather have the challenge of keeping a team in the Prem than trying to get a team into it from the Championship.
  2. It must suck to play in the MLS as far as transfers go. You never really stay in one place very long.
  3. It's funny how much he sucks. It actually makes me laugh in disbelief that he has the job he does.
  4. Interesting too as that's a real paper, not some rumour posting site trying to pass off whispers as news.
  5. A shame that he sees himself elsewhere, we will be playing a lot more matches this year and his minutes will have gone up drastically. He was the ideal backup to have, hopefully we can replace him.
  6. Wish I could place bets here in America. France would be getting a little bet put down on them for sure.
  7. Despite the score line I thought we showed really well tonight. We had some really good chances that with better finishing would've been in the back of the net. I don't think our good play tonight was any coincidence with Torres and Gomez on the pitch at the same time (I'm sure we can find a post on here years ago calling for these two to be included). Jurgen Klinsman is to be congratulated for making the choice on these guys, finally.
  8. Are there not cameras in taxis in England? Every cab I take here has a camera in it.
  9. As if it wasn't clear even before a ball was kicked, Debuchy is clearly better than Simpson. If there's anything in the rumours at all we need to sign him up asap.
  10. Oh man, I still can't believe we have these two dudes in our squad.
  11. So apparently Donovan hates the Scottish.
  12. Probably controversial but I think Guthrie would do a real job in the England squad. He has a good European-style possession game that would do well at a competition like the Euros.

Everyone looks at it so simply like "he could've just moved, took a pay cut, played in a lower league, but play 90 minutes every week" - do you think professional footballers get to where they are in life by saying "ah, oh well, guess I'll play in a league lower than the one I think I am worthy of"? Of course not. I'm sure in his mind at the beginning of every season here that he thought he might have a legitimate shot at the first team and stayed here to try and prove that he's worthy of the Premier League. Everyone makes it seem like he had some sinister intentions to take money out of the club while having an easy ride but I find that hard to believe. He probably has spent the last few years trying to prove he's still up to the same level that he thinks he is (regardless of the fact that we don't think he is).
  14. Jack Rodwell maybe? Doesn't play for any of the right teams.

    Quality source.
  16. Had a dream last night that I talked to him and he told me he wasn't coming because the Prem looked too fast paced for him and not technical enough. :'(
  17. Wow Lee Ryder really is a piece of work. Someone wasn't very popular at school I bet.
  18. Has a point though. The Suarez ban was no where near enough. They need to be setting precedents with these kinds of bans. Half season ban and I would wager no one would do it again.

It's nice to see him in that French interview video. He looks happy and comfortable which is great to see.
  20. He had the choice between Portland and the shithole that is Houston. Easy choice But yeah good point, he's still a quality player imo. Portland is also an amazing city and possibly the best (not just numbers wise) supported team in the league.
