  1. Really hope so. I wish I had the dosh to let my voice be heard. In an ideal world the game is a sell out, Hughton's name rings around the park, then the subsequent matches have very poor attendances until something changes (this coming from someone who against boycotting - enough is enough).
  2. Yeah I really enjoy the area to really just chill out, because there's not much more you can do tbh. It's the perfect beach+drink+book kind of place. Food, man. The restaurants on 5th are incredible. The beach is f***ing heavenly. I'm taking the lass back in either February and March. Probably venture up to your neck of the woods at some point, too. I think I've probably said it before but let me know when you're in town if you fancy meeting up for a pint or two. Although I know you have a mystery to keep on the boards. And also, I'm sure there's a restaurant with an awesome crunchy grouper sandwich, which are amazing.

  4. Probably that little cartoon bear from the videos who told you this. http://img403.imageshack.us/img403/8452/93531606.jpg?
  5. What? That was the main game on FSC that day. Wasn't on in a single pub. No football whatsoever. Might've been on too early for the pubs, who knows. We're not the best nation for trying to catch football in a pub but a lot of pubs actually do try. I've found a few that will open up when the first match starts, but they usually can't sell booze until like 11 or so depending on which state/county it's in. Took 15 minutes of convincing for Paddy Murphy's in Naples to put the Croatia - England (Walcott) game on in Sep 08, the locals didn't have a clue what was going on. What the hell were you doing in Naples? Can your skin even handle that area of the world?

  7. On his wikipedia page as being: P70, W37, L14, D17, 55.7% Wonder if that includes his care taking during the JFK fiasco. Either way, that's a fucking good record and no reason to be sacked. He was everything we needed this season and now it's all up in smoke because Ashley is a egomaniac.
  8. Anyone have Hughton's total WLD stats starting with the Championship season opener?
  9. It was on a station Fox Soccer Plus IIRC which some bars don't have in their sports package. Also Fox Soccer streams every match live if you have an account with them ($15/mo). Also, South Florida is a black hole for football which is really odd considering the demographics.
  10. WHAT?! I can't think of a season in the last 5 years where we've been on the Telly as often as this. iirc we've been on tv for more than half our games I've been able to see every match so far this season here in the States which is impressive.
  11. Because he's an unfunny cunt. Obviously, but what's the attempted joke? Is "sid" slang for something in England that I don't know about? Sid James was a comedic actor, famous for the 'Carry On...' films. Right on, thanks. Definitely a very stupid joke.

  13. Why does some mackem I know keep calling it "Sid James Park?"
  14. Glad that the rags are still sticking with "this is all Ashley's fault" rather than the usual NUFC bullshit they pull out about the fans making things like this happen. We don't look like mongs during a manager change for the first time in a while.
  15. On the fence about him possibly coming here.
  16. Listening to these is so hard, especially the Calderwood one where you can tell there are so many things he wants to say but can't legally or otherwise.
  17. Maybe they'll get their bashing out of the way tonight. Save us some face on Saturday.
  18. Looks cold as fuck in Liverpool tonight.

    Alan Pardew

They should spend the whole first match singing for wor Chris. Pardew will undo himself.

    Alan Pardew

Would give him a chance because he's the manager of a football club that I love but 1) the majority won't and 2) the lease will be very fucking short.
  21. Just when I get lulled into a false sense of security Ashley pulls some shit like sacking Hughton which reminds me anything can happen. We will be reminded of that come January when AC9 is on his way out.
  22. I think he left, wasn't sacked.
  23. Can you add "another thread? " option?
