  1. Had the same thought myself. Was watching their match the other day and Belhadj(sp?) kept ending up in the box getting on the ends of chances then I read that he's actually a left back (may have been playing as LW though at the time), was pretty .

What do you get in return for sponsoring a kit like that? Just your name in the program?

People still have phone lines these days? I don't think I've had a house-phone since 2000.
  4. David James for England? The first goal was bad enough (not 100% his fault) but that last goal, holy shit. Talk about ball-watching. No urgency what so ever.
  5. So it's gone from him texting her to now wanting to shag her. I wonder how long it will be before Carroll becomes the hero. Depends how many more goals he scores to be honest. Football over morals.
  6. Those Chicago Fire kits remind me of the kits Nike pulled out for a weekend in College Football, these ones: http://www.nike.com/nikeos/p/usnikefootball/en_US/rivalries09?school=miz&tab=uniform
  7. Would be awesome if that were the case. That match is on TV over here so I'd get to see it.
  8. We usually do alright near the end of matches because to be honest we're just more fit than the rest of the squads in this division.
  9. Nope, I think it's as good as we could've hoped for. Don't mind the 4-5-1 and having the five person midfield infront of that make-shift back four. I think it was a solid team selection from Hughton. A shame Butt has to start but it could be far worse.
  10. At least that will push Guthrie up the pitch rather than him being in a less-effective deep lying role.
  11. Not sure man. I figure if your teammates knew you were gay that they would be far more understanding than a bunch of mongs in the crowd. Your teammate(s) may not agree with it but they have to face you day-in/day-out and will at least not be an idiot about it. The crowd on the other hand - well there is a large feeling of anonymity where they will feel they can get away with a lot more.
  12. This is a false statement by the way. Homosexuality occurs in many vertibrates across the animal kingdom and there is actually a great deal of research showing the benefits from an evolutionary standpoint. Ok, that is fair, but surely you cannot dispute the fact that it is a deviant behaviour and that people who engage in it will always be otracised to some degree. That is just the fact of the matter. Deviant? You're either born gay or not, dude. There's nothing deviant about it. Do you know what the word means? It deviates from the norm....therefore it is deviant regardless of how one becomes this way. That is quite clear. There's nothing unnatural (or deviant) about it if you're homosexual.

Glad someone handled that comment with a bit of tact. The statement definitely took me by surprise.
  15. This just about sums up my feelings (if Carroll is indeed "at fault" obviously, we don't really know what happened but where there's smoke there's usually fire and Carroll doesn't exactly have a very good track record in regards to these kinds of things).
  16. Carroll will almost definitely start because Hughton would (rightly or wrongly) get tons of shit for not starting him and us losing the game because of it. Although he's likely to get equal amounts of shit for actually playing him as well. But at least for his sake we'd be coming back with three points.
  17. He's been out injured for almost two seasons.
  18. I like him but he's far too injury prone for our club.
