Imagine the monopoly the few hotels that will be in Qatar will have on the visiting public. It will be the most expensive WC to attend, they can effectively charge whatever they want.

Just read a rumour that they might move the start date of the WC to accomodate Qatar, is that even possible? I thought it was always June/July.

They mentioned something on the local broadcast here about Sepp Blatter vying for a Nobel Peace Prize by giving it to these types of countries, especially considering that Qatar said that they would recognize Israel for the WC if they were to make it.
