  1. Yeeah! I just got Luque 19 on the shirt, and now this! O0 Shit Shit Shit
  2. http://shop.nufc.co.uk/sites/newcastle/images/Products/170024_B.jpg I love it.
  3. Don`t think he`s going actually. This marca-article is just as reliable and serious as the Belletti one. BS!
  4. Any news on Faye? A Newcastle-player by the end of the week I take it?
  5. Me to. Versatile and good player: http://www.football-lineups.com/players/player.php?route=1853. Can play striker and either side in midfield.
  6. Something here http://portal.rpc.com.br/gazetadopovo/esportes/conteudo.phtml?id=689364&tit=Paranaense-Belletti-esta-perto-de-fechar-com-o-Newcastle But nothing new really? Translated: The lateral Belletti is near to change the Barcelona by the Newcastle, second information of the Spanish newspaper "Sport". According to the newspaper, the English club should announce the contracting of the Brazilian in the near days. The edition of this Monday of the "Sport" remembers even if up to past week the negotiations by the player did not present signs of progress.
  7. How long has it gone since the "quote" saying the Belletti-deal was going to be "sealed" in the next 48 hours ?
  8. Ok. How do you explain this then: http://www.skysports.com/football/user_ratings/0,19768,11065_2846735,00.html ? Only Speed in front.
  9. 7) Out paced by Viduka last week. What do you mean? He was the best Bolton player against us last week, alongside Anelka!
  10. Of course there aren`t any better buys for £2mil out there. I find everything positive with the capture of Faye. 1) The price. £ 2 mil. 2) His positions; CB and DCM. We will for the first time get some depth in centrebacks. 3) He is an experienced PL player, and has been one of Boltons most important players over the last couple of years. 4) Sam knows him in and out, and so he knows how to use him the best, and how to get as musch out of him as possible. 5) His overall attitude. He seems to give 100 % for the team and seems like a great guy who will do whatever the manager tells him. 6) Of course his abilities. Good tackling, work-rate, fair speed, versatile, leadership and a whole lot more!
  11. Who would you rather we spend the £2m on then, just out of interest? Watch and see him struggle to come up with something
  12. I think we did excellent because it was easily a game we could have lost. I never expected our strikers to get much service today due to our midfield but we did have our chances. People need to remember this is just week 2 or 38. Our team needs time to gel and Sam needs time to get our tactics right, once he does that and once we get the likes of Barton, Duff and Emre back we will be banging them in, not to mention once Owen gets full fitness. People need to get a reality check and remember we were getting beat by the likes of Sheffield Utd and Fulham last season at home, we probably would have been delighted with yesterdays result 6 months ago, people kept saying the Mackems will be beating us next season, relegation, doom and gloom etc. Well now we are a confident side so stop complaining and moaning and give Big Sam and the team some time and lets look forward to 3 points next week Very much agreed. For the Boro-game I want to see an offensive style and this line-up'(I take it as Given, Emre and Enrique will figure): ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::Given::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: Carr:::::::::::::Taylor:::::::::::::::::::Rozehnal::::::::::::Enrique ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::Geremi:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: Milner::::::::::::::::::::::::Emre::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::N`Zogbia :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: ::::::::::::::::::::::::Martins::::Owen/Smith::::::::::::::::::::::::::: Subs: Harper, Cacapa, Solano, Luque, Viduka. We don`t need Butt for this game, because this game we want to crush Boro with goals!
  13. No it's not, it's an opinion Allright then, if you say so. But seriously, do you honestly think that the midfield played well today?
  14. A few thoughts on the match: 1) We can`t play Smith, Butt and Geremi at the same time in a midfield trio. We need a midfielder with pace, hight and offensive qualities. I think Butt did a decent job though, and he looks good for the anchor-role, event though he isn`t that fast. 2) Aston Villa played extremely defensive. Mellberg and Laursen for me played like 9/10 and won every duel. Villa also played with 3 defensive midfielders; Reo-Cocker, Petrov and Barry(at least they ran back to defend every time), and at times Agbonlahor and Young also defended(!). That left only Carew/Moore up front, and with a midfield like we played today, we were never going to break that Villa-wall. 3) The strikers didn`t co-operate at all today. Martins looked rather bad today (6/10) and Viduka even worse. Martins still was our best striker today and created the little that was up front, and should never have been replaced. Milner was our best today, imo, and created at least something. 4) We had 1 chance the whole match, Rozehnals shot, which was always going to be saved by Carson. Good effort though, but that was the only chance. Poor, and must not happen again. I think we have to play 4-5-1 or 4-4-2 at home, with Milner on the midfield: Ex: Solano - Geremi - Butt - Milner or Mliner - Geremi - Butt - N`Zogbia or when all are fit: Milner - Barton - Emre - N`Zogbia/Duff with Butt as the anchor if needed. I think we really need Barton and Emre in our game to get the best out of it. The midfield trio of Smith-Butt-Geremi works better away, apparently. Just a fact! Ratings: Harper 7 Carr 5 Taylor 6 Rozehnal 6,5 N`Zogbia 6 Butt 7 Smith 6 Geremi 6,5 Milner 7,5 Viduka 5 Martins 6 Owen 5 Ameobi 6 Cacapa 1000
  15. Some more info? Newcastle United boss Sam Allardyce still sees Everton defender Phil Neville as his number one target before the transfer window closes. The Northern Echo are reporting that Everton boss David Moyes is very reluctant to let the player leave, however this is not put off Allardyce who is a big fan of Neville's versatility. It's believed that Neville is currently unhappy at the level of transfer investment at Everton and big Sam is hoping to capitalise on the situation with a £5 million bid for the player.
  16. i'm struggling to see what you're getting at what's wrong with Geremi, Barton, Emre? Emre Emre is one of the most important players, when not injured and when he is in top shape! Class player!
  17. What about 3 CBs and 2 WBs -------------------Given----------------------- ----Faye/Taylor - Cacapa - Rozehnal---- Solano--------------------------------Enrique
  18. Excellent buy if it gets through. Same with Faye. Got to honour Sams ability to shop smart, good players. For instance, Roeder brought Bernard and Sibierski in, Sam buys Enrique and Viduka. Just to take a few.
  19. Diop is much better than Butt, and younger. He can play CM as well as DM.
  20. Bouba Diop would be a very good signing indeed!
  21. Go for the Steinsson kid, or Glenn Johnson! 8)
  22. Keep him. He can play striker and left-wing. He can score goals and also score on penalties. Top scorer in pre-season. Keep! He is not on physiorooms list.
  23. 5th. I think you are pessimistic here. Who will take the 6th and 5th then, for those of you who think we will end up on a 7th place?
