  1. Not sure he’s an Eddie Howe type striker but that’s a decent fee for player of his caliber and potential. We were (albeit tenuously) linked to him before as well.
  2. Apparently Amine Gouiri has a 33.5m release clause. I’d be surprised if that was true.
  3. Maddison and even a mid striker on loan would make this a dreamy summer, like.
  4. Maddison would be fantastic but again, we’re going for a player that a club isn’t interested in selling. There’s no way we’ll bid the required 60m+ to get him, unfortunately.
  5. Prefer his brother Sultan. Hurr hurr.
  6. @LV Yep, Leicester actually need another wing-option and Barnes is one of those players who’s contract isn’t in it’s last year. Would take a huge offer for them to even think about selling.
  7. Yeah, Botman said recently on an interview that he can play there but hopes he’ll be on his favoured left-side.
  8. I’d consider that silly, tbf!
  9. They’re never going to sell unless a very silly offer comes in. Which is a line we’ll hear a lot more if we keep insisting on targeting players that clubs aren’t in a rush to sell.
  10. Ah, The Line . The less I say about that the better (I’m actually not legally allowed to say anything anyway, if that gives you a clue).
  11. They’ll finish comfortably mid to lower mid table this season imo. They have a lot of hungry young players and a manager that’s better than most of the dross near the bottom end of the league, unfortunately.
  12. that we’ve underbid for Barnes? I am with you though; injury issues aside he’d be an amazing signing.
  13. Might be the case. Trying to get money out of PIF takes ages (usually months but honestly, sometimes years) with all the bureaucracy. * *Clamping down on all of the fraud and corruption was one of MBS’s main charges when he came into ascendency. Publically funded projects, in particular, were riddled with it. All of this shady shit was costing the country an absolute fortune and greasing palms was even seen as part and parcel of doing business in Saudi. He came down particularly hard on the Bin Laden Group which caused a massive shake-up in the country. More transparency, more use of technology and greater controls have seemingly put a stop to it though. TLDR; Ben Arfa is mint.
  14. Was clearly going to allude to how the reffing was not PL standard/ biased towards the home team.
  15. You can forget Paqueta if Howe is wanting to play this guy in midfield. Not that I ever thought it was likely.
  16. I think we’ll wait until the last week of the transfer window to see if teams have softened their stances on our top targets. Usually a decent deal to be had too (could do a cheeky cheap deal for Tielemens for example?).
  17. I like Werner- works hard, runs fast, presses well, positioning is usually very good (despite being an offside meme sometimes)- but if he’s willing to take a large enough paycut, better teams will be in for him.
  18. I think I’m on record as saying that I liked him but he was just an aldi Lucian Favre. What a fucking mug .
  19. Yep, and I love the fact that he’s seemingly evolving and improving as coach. So many managers are too set in their ways and lack the humility to reflect on their own performances; blaming players or situations. Another great season and I’ll love him more than I loved Rafa.
  20. At least once a month I watch that tifo video on how he’s reminiscent of Pep Guardiola. Really shows you how underrated he is, gives some great insight into his approach to the transfer market and his dedication to improving players. Really landed on our feet with this guy.
  21. Could say the same about our self-imposed salary cap too. It’s progression at the end of the day; better players will command bigger salaries.

    Emil Krafth

Always preferred Manquillo but seems Krafth has, justifiably, taken his spot now.
