I’d rather we signed another quality midfielder than another striker: either someone on the right of a 3 (pushing Bruno back) like Paqueta/Fofana etc. or a solid athletic dm like Philips/Sangare.

Always found it ridiculous that, under Ashley, we had a clear “buy young undervalued prospects and sell them on for big profits” policy but never made any attempt to hire the right personnel to see it through. Dan has shown previously that he can achieve success under that same model. Excited to see what he can do with us if the remit is indeed to make us serious players in the league.

We’re actually pretty well stocked for back-ups currently aren’t we? Lewis, Dummett, Burn, Manquilo, Krafth and Ritchie could all play there . Obviously some will have to be moved on…

Read ages ago that Man Utd had a 120m budget this summer. With having to practically replace half their team, I think we may have a chance. Not that I’d advocate spending more than 45m on him…

Eriksen would be an amazing bit of business. Hope we’re not shooting ourselves in the foot by keeping to a strict wage cap though; if we’re truly wanting to compete with the big boys, we need to start acting like it especially with deals like this.

It’s fairly obvious he’s stalling us out as we’re not his first choice. Hope PSG’s poor track record for bringing promising youths into the first team picture will make the lad see sense. Would be a blow to lose out on 2 priority targets this early.

For under 30m, he’d be a decent pick-up imo. Liverpool still looking at him as well, which is a good sign considering their recruitment record.

Controversial opinion I suppose, but I really don’t rate Dubravka. Henderson would be a massive upgrade imo.

If I was going to make a wild guess based on absolutely nothing it’d be someone like Florentino from Benfica. Young like-for-like Hayden alternative.
