    Anelka

probably a thread about this before (im guessing parky ) but would you take him over the strikers we have?.. could be a possibility in the january transfer window- bolton are struggling, the alladyce-factor etc.
  2. Only the virgins will mind, the rest will have girlfriends or wives to attest to the contrary
  3. i was expecting worse.. doesn't look horrible
  4. can someone photoshop a virgin sign on the kit... since i'm a lazy bastard
  5. Nzogbia the beeb actually thought we'd sell him for 3mil An underated team imo is fulham, have bags of goals in them.. defence is an issue though. Sanchez's made some good signings aswell.

    Ashley Young

He's been decent, great prospect for england.. strange how he's come on leaps and bounds since watford (just last year) where he looked average at the best of times. Kudos to MoN for seeing the potential, still a bit pricey imo though
  7. our position in the league come january will obviously have a big say in the quality of players we're capable of getting. Bentley could well come if we're high enough in the table.. might also be a change playing at home in front of a stadium with fans in it.
  8. "I want to play for England" Seems to suggest he has ambitions beyond his means. Milner digs? I don't need to. He has been doing a much better job of proving his ineptitude lately than I ever could. ah yes "young lad dreams of playing for england", too right- fucking diabolical..

    Alan Smith

He's a front player, end of really. Why hameobi has played up front in Vidukas absence, with Smith in the squad, is an absolute mystery to me. Decisions like that would make me lost faith in Allardyce, and I wanted him for the job. Diabolical. Yeah, just he's handy in an emergency like. Suppose you could argue that we had nobody else to play in midfield recently, which is why Smith was used there. I'd have tried Milner through the middle myself. I'm trying to be positive about Milner. He's a good lad with a great attitude, but he lacks pace. So I say to myself that Beckham also lacked pace, as did Nobby, but was so good at crossing and seeing things quickly they overcame it and became quality players, so I hope that Milner can also do it. In truth though, I don't think he will be but I hope that I am wrong. aye, but for someone whos had as many games as he has, he should, really, already be able to pick out a adecent cross- which he's been pretty pitiful at for a while now. That said i like the kid, a lot to learn and definitely one of our best players last year. But practicing and training will help him do that and i do think his bad form is a direct result of being knackered. I like smith, it takes a good player to be able to aptly (debatable perhaps in midfield) both upfront and midfield. Must be a great player, tactically, to have on the pitch if your a manager EDIT- top 2 paragraphs talking about milner, just to avoid confusion
  10. i'd keep shay in, he's an infintely better keeper than harper who just had a bad game.. taking him off now would only increase the nerves and shatter the guys confidence. harpers been sidelined by shay for years, thats what he's used to so i doubt he'll feel hard done by. Give shay more games to prove how much of a stud he is between the sticks and if he ends up doing another ''robbinson" THEN take him off.
  11. oh dear.. c'mon mate stop trying to overthink things. Given's a better keeper, end of.
  12. saw that and thought the same thing Its called Karma. Karma for what?? How we drew today after that second half performance i will never know. Should have won but thats how our season is going so far. maybe it'll teach you lot some humility
  13. That's the thing though - we won. It's not about what you can do at your best, it's what you can do at your worst. exactly how many times have we lost while playing better than the other team.. reallly happy now, i was having a terrible day
  14. I'm not an Emre fan but he brings something different (especially at home) to our central midfield and that can only be a good thing. Owen's movement is absolutely superb, Martins should really just sit and watch him on video every night. This is it. I know we all like Martins and he's a livewire and he can do amazing things, but in terms of quality movement and intelligent play and reading of the game, he's absolutely nowhere. not what you'd call an intelligent footballer aye but the man scores the impossible to score; and misses the impossible to miss
  15. saw that and thought the same thing
  16. don't see what the fuss is man, you can post on this thread too.. keepthe toys in the pram. ffs.... predictions anyone? reckon we could scrape a 2-1 win
