So underrated; decent on the ball, strong, can press high, defend deep, just very dependable and a leader on the field. People complain about his lack of speed but good God, the lad’s almost 7ft tall! If he had prime Ashley Cole’s recovery pace he’d one of the best defenders in the world .

Very much a “system player”. Put him in an unfamiliar xi where relationships and patterns of play aren’t locked down and he’ll tend to struggle imo.
