Bruno for sure. There’s an argument that we’d struggle to ever find another right-back with Trippier’s ability and skillset again but his age and Tino’s emergence means it’s not as big a blow.

Conjecture but I suppose there’s a reason Villa were actively pushing for him to leave on loan to bring in Digne, despite being one of their better players the year before. Could also explain why we took a while looking at alternatives to him in the following summer despite looking really good for us and having a cheap option on him.

An Eddie Howe coached Onana could be something special. He may not be the technically-gifted midfielder we’re screaming out for but his physicality is unrivaled; would be perfect for Howe-ball.

Nketiah is a mid-table quality striker on 100k a week. Not exactly a good presser and, shockingly, in his mid-twenties now. Even as a back-up option it’d be a strange transfer for us.

ESR would be a no-brainer if he wasn’t so injury-prone. Also a right-footer that plays on the left, which we have a few of already. Mbuemo for the rw/back up striker slot would be my realistic pick for the summer. So underrated and suits our play-style.
