  1. No. We made it to the final in 1976 when we lost to Man City. Ah, read the sentence wrong. Right. Still, no other semifinal appearances. That's an accomplishment in itself.
  2. Am I right in thinking we've never made it to the semifinal of this competition? Seems almost impossible.
  3. Chelsea's 3rd Round opponents in the Premier League years: 2015 - Watford (h) 2014 - Derby (a) 2013 - Southampton (a) 2012 - Pompey (h) 2011 - Ipswich (h) 2010 - Watford (h) 2009 - Southend (h) 2008 - QPR (h) 2007 - Macclesfield Town (h) 2006 - Huddersfield (h) 2005 - Scunthorpe (h) 2004 - Watford (a) 2003 - Middlesbrough (h) 2002 - Norwich (a) 2001 - Peterborough (h) 2000 - Hull City (a) 1999 - Oldham (a) 1998 - Man Utd (h) 1997 - WBA (h) 1996 - NUFC (h) 1995 - Charlton (h) 1994 - Barnet (a) 1993 - Middlesbrough (a) That's pretty fucking ridiculous.
  4. I'm by no means a goalkeeping expert but his positioning when Chelsea were passing it outside the area seemed a bit strange. It was like he was protecting his left side. Thought I might have been imagining it until Luis looked up and saw something similar on his long range effort. Anyway, really happy for him. Did well under the circumstances.
  5. "Sackpardew.com won't be getting a lot of hits today" "SackPardew? More like BackPardew.com" Both just said on NBC here in the US.
  6. Thanks leffe. Just realized I fucked that up - West Stand is only singles available. It's the East Stand and North Stand that have availability. Block C towards the back, B in the front, or the middle of 24 seem to be the best options in the East Stand. Upper and Lower have lots of available seats in the North Stand. Any preference for any of those?
  7. Any of our resident Spurs fans (or anyone else) have seating suggestions for WHL? Need 2 seats together for the league cup match. Looks like my options are the North Stand or West Stand (mostly upper). Trying to avoid pillars and have a decent view of the away support. Your ticketing website kind of sucks by the way.
  8. So I'm going to be in London after all. Pissed about a work trip so close to Christmas, but the silver lining is I get to see us play away and (get bummed) in a cup QF. I don't have the foggiest idea about how one gets away tickets although I know there are loyalty points of which I have none. Do I just need to deal with sitting in the home end?
  9. The fact the headline says "next season" when Rangers have no chance of being in Europe then is factually inaccurate. They even specifically cite the headline. The gist of the article is 100% true though. Silver lining is maybe he really will f*** off 2 years from now.
  10. Should have scored in the first half and skied it high and wide.
  11. Without knowing all the details, I'd imagine he just used the stadium naming rights as leverage for other agreements. The man is a step ahead of most and preys on the desperate.
  12. Since FIFA clearly has a preference for bringing the World Cup to new countries I think we're going to start seeing more and more joint bids. How about Scandinavia 2026 or a Central America 2040?
  13. [emoji1] I wasn't suggesting we install anything remotely like that. Just an example of how a professional organization does things properly.
  14. This is how you install a new screen. Four sides, HD, curved for optimal viewing angles, and huge considering it's in an arena. We suck. http://imgick.cleveland.com/home/cleve-media/width620/img/cavs_impact/photo/16190673-mmmain.png
  15. Just realized there's a decent chance I'll be in London during the week of this game. Chances of getting a ticket? Chances of getting a ticket in the away end (guessing slim)?
  16. I can definitely see the anti-Pardew side of things. The thought of seeing him at Wembley getting a winner's medal makes me feel sick. Even worse is the thought of his post-trophy press conference where he would use the word 'I' at least 22 times with sentences like "I'm just glad I could deliver a trophy to that city" and "I'm happy the team stuck by me so I could get us to this point." He'd instantly be an historical figure in the club's history. All that said, seeing us win something would be incredible and I think that outweighs all of the above. Ideal scenario is the Spurs match is the only game we win in December. Pardew is gone in early January and the new manager's first contribution is delivering a semifinal win and then a trophy.
  17. I think I'm going to start supporting the team again. More likely we'll get dicked when I want us to win.
  18. He's xenophobic as f***, like most pundits. Foreign managers always get it in the neck. This is some of the most xenophobic commentary I've ever heard. It's pretty disgusting.
  19. God forbid we have an extra defender. They can all go fuck themselves. Interesting the club says the deal could become permanent at "around" the fee paid for him. Wonder what their definition of "around" is.
  20. No it's not, it's some bollocks about some quarterbacks Sorry, fixed it. Here's the link: http://www.nfl.com/now/share?id=0cd1b706-aa17-407c-a366-a33257006eb9
  21. Was going to put this in chat, but figured you'd enjoy it (it's NFL players being asked what they think British terms mean): http://www.nfl.com/now/share?id=0cd1b706-aa17-407c-a366-a33257006eb9
