  1. i thought slavery had been abolished years ago just thinking out loud seeing as the owners of the present slaves keep trying to profit from getting rid of them after they've possibly been brought on a bit!
  2. well I think defeat maybe on the cards,Jones will be nowt but trouble and perhaps it will be the only way to finally wake those in charge up at the club, not looking foreward to this at all.
  3. I agree with the earlier post ref young lads, why not blood 'em all and see what happens certainly can't get any worse!
  4. Bolton fan on Legends reckoned Nolan is total crap and no where near as good as you see on the telly, that being the case it would appear we are now going for stocking fillers!
  5. All very well in theory, but in many ways, the horse has bolted... Our reputation today has declined further, so it will be even more of an uphill task - and take years - to persuade young players that we are a club they should join instead of Arsenal, Man U, Liverpool etc. the problem being trying to get through to kids and parents that they may have more opportunity at the B&W's/ lower league clubs as opposed to those mentioned.
  6. maybe we're expecting the worst based on our present situation
  7. sell Given if we're that desperate for cash, run with Harper use Krul or Forster as backup, only a few days left of the January sales.
  8. If Joe goes on walkabout who would the new manager be? would it be Wise or would we plod along towards relegation without one
  9. 15 days and counting not bothered with whose coming in more like who will remain!
  10. may as well abandon game, Barton acting goat, well don't where we go from here apart from down
  11. commentator on stream says Kinnear don't know what he's doing, Zog gone straight down tunnel poss last game?
  12. it would appear its on show at todays game
  13. anyone seen this today http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/columnists/reade/2009/01/17/clown-joe-kinnear-could-turn-newcastle-into-biggest-laughing-stock-in-the-championship-115875-21048140/
  14. has he actually been offered a contract or is he spouting bigger sh*te than me, bearing in mind his so called transfer negotiations don't seem to be going very well and now Geremi allegedly not knowing whats going on.
  15. do we need to spend a lot of money on fancy dan players to have a decent team, what would Kaka do for our club at the mo along with Robinho would these type of players be any good in the trenches .We've always had a "star" type players in the past and still nowt was achieved so perhaps a decent/honest eleven at reasonable wages and cost may be the better option.
  16. not Kinnear as permanent manager, but it looks a distinct possibilty.
  17. (/quote) "Mike Ashley, (managing director) Derek Llambias and I, we’ve sat down and talked about taking the club forward and about reinvesting in the club in the summer. doesn't bode well for the january transfer market ,does it?
  18. the question is what can be done to change the club around not your a knacker for thinking outside the box to enable us to change. If you want to see whats coming we must look in the past. A lot of us have been here before and have the T Shirt whilst a lot of guys/gals may not have, if Ashley doesn't sort himself out along with Wise and the rest then potentially once again we will return to a perilous state. Below is the situation we were in in the 90's nowt changes flogging players bringing in crap poor management ,share wars you name it as we know we've been there before, the question is will a new Messiah emerge. For me things at the mo are looking similar and with one guy holding all the cards there is very little we can do,yes we call each other etc etc but what can we actually do?. below is reproduced from: http://www.toonale.co.uk/nufc.htm With crowds previously below 10,000, Keegan captivated everyone on Tyneside and United stormed into the top division in a style only bettered by Kevin's own brand of football in the next decade. Alongside Keegan were youngsters Peter Beardsley and Chris Waddle, as well as seasoned campaigners like Terry McDermott and David McCreery. Paul Gascoigne soon followed, as did Jack Charlton as manager. Newcastle consolidated their place in Division One but then a period of selling their best players - Beardsley, Waddle and Gazza - rocked the club, as did a share-war for control of Newcastle United. The Magpies tumbled back into the Second Division and were in a perilous state. They had little money, star players headed south and crowds dwindled. With the club hovering on the brink, Newcastle United needed a saviour. They not only found one, but two, as Sir John Hall and Kevin Keegan joined forces to create a formidable duo. When Keegan returned to Tyneside to replace Ossie Ardiles (under whom crowds had again plummeted to below 15,000) as manager on a short term contract in 1992, United were struggling at the wrong end of Division Two. Sir John had all but taken control of the club and he needed a small miracle to stop the Magpies from tumbling into the Third Division for the very first time in their history.
  19. probably gonna tell us how much he has clawed back from transfers for his back pocket.
  20. I think we need to be relegated to allow this ship to turn around, as it's the only way I can see poss a new owner turning up and seeing the potential upside with the present regime whether it be Wise Jk et al departing along with some of the crap we call players.
  21. well so far that's poss one body in and out so in theory bring 3 more loans in and we'll offload 3 reducing wage bill further with a bit of cash for uncle mike.
  22. smacks of desperation 3mil for a 31yr old,btw carlisle boards are claiming Westwood to us for 4mill and they want to keep Krul
