  1. Shame it’s away to Man City. Not looking forward to it mind.
  2. Our two best players out. Didn't get drubbed. Not going to dwell on it more than that. On to the next.
  3. Mitro is going to score more than all our strikers combined this season isn't he?
  4. I thought it was kind of strange like
  5. Ah makes sense. Thought he was implying women commentators in general.
  6. Trying to buy tickets to this in the away stand for me and the girlfriend. Do I really need to call the box office and link us together in a 'Travel group' so we can sit together? They aren't picking up the phone at the box office
  7. He actually did spend it quite well.
  8. Is the City Ground a good day out? And just Nottingham in general? Never been but I'm kind of tempted to go, handing in my masters thesis the day before and feel like fucking off immediately afterwards and see this
  9. Love the fact that some people seem to confuse Shaqiri with Daiquiri
  10. Every single time the club seems to be on the right track under Ashley it's like he consciously tries to fuck it up. Under Keegan when there was finally a bit of a buzz happening with good attacking football he decides to fuck it up with ample help from Wise and Jimenez. Under Hughton when we had a likeable and capable manager slowly but surely building a decent squad around Carroll he fucking gets rid of them both. And now when we're in absolute pole position to make something of this club - great young captain, decent squad, money in the bank and a world class manager he fucking deliberately ensures to fuck everyone off: the fans, Rafa and the squad. This can't go on. Don't care if it takes abuse like West Ham dished out earlier in spring or anthrax in the mail. Get the fuck out.
  11. Ehh. Rafa has more than just 'turned his nose up' at Mitrovic mainly due to him having attitude problems. I think you might recall Balo having a bit of those.
  12. I'd take Mario Balotelli on a free as it stands. Going to be interesting to see where he winds up but Rafa of course wouldn't touch him with a ten-feet pole.
  13. Who has Yarney played for to give him senior appearances? Oh damn misread. Thought he had 4 cup appearances for Everton. So that's not a single senior game at the age of 21 Average starting age of a Premier League English debutant is now 23, so not really that bad comparatively. Not necessarily talking about PL. Just any senior appearance be it in the FA or League Cup, Championship, League One etc.

  15. Roberts and Yarney both at age 21 have made 17 and 4 senior appearances respectively in their careers. That's a bit shit considering they are supposed to be some of our most exciting prospects.
  16. Youre obviously not that frustrated if you continue to attend and help fund the decline of NUFC . Yes there are many teams worse off ( Hartlepool , Gateshead and Sunderland come to mind ) do you really want to measure our status by comparison to such small clubs ? How low are your horizons ? Youre not happy but youre happy enough to continue to fund your own unhappiness ... It would seem that for you the pleasure is simply funding Ashley in order to watch any old shite ... did you have the same attitude in the Seymour / McKeag era ... did you not get behind the SJH takeover at the time ? Did you not notice the difference under the SJH regime ? Or are you just another fucking muppet ? personally i can do what i want, ive been going since 1976 and seen shitier times than this, you stay away and be a militant hero , it gets you no fucking where you muppet. knob This is the thing that irks me. It does work. It really fucking does and has been shown to work a bunch of times. Just don't get this kind of attitude, just so so fucking servile and defeatist... At the moment we have the ball in front of an open goal; an amazing, young captain, a solid spine to a team and a world class manager. All that needs to be done to take the club a little bit further is to poke it home - with a couple of additions in key areas. That is all. Ashley however wants to play the ball back to the goalkeeper and we'll probably concede in the process. After all Ashley has done to us and the club, not taking advantage of this open-goal chance could be the worst.
  17. If Rafa walks the supporters will have to take some serious measures, preferably boycotting St. James's on matchday and protesting outside the ground meanwhile. I know it's a ludicrous example but in March West Ham supporters threw a hissy fit as you all probably remember and now the two dildos in charge of the club decided to bring in a world class manager and give him some serious financial backing. I know Ashely is probably the devil incarnate but he can take a hint just like any other club owner and we're not giving him any hints by packing St. James's to the gills every other week.

    England

Most of Europe doesn't kind of share that self-deprecating humour or banter that surrounds Three Lions and such. They get it but they can also sense a hint of arrogance in it and probably find England's exit funny because they perceive the English to have a tendency to get ahead of themselves and that they're desperately trying to hold on to a sort of former 'imperial greatness'. British or rather specifically English exceptionalism is very real and yes very tedious to a lot of Europeans, after all you drive on the wrong side and measure your weight in stone ffs It's really not that hard to put into perspective with Brexit and all.
  19. Somehow have a deep dislike for him. Bet he'd be good in Perez's position though.

    England

You can be proud of England. Finally, and probably for the first time since I've been watching, England look like they have something in the semblance of a team on their hands. And they're young. There's a good spine to this squad from Pickford, Stones and Maguire towards Henderson, Sterling and Kane and although some of them might never develop to be world class that's not really how international football works. I know it's a cliché but a national team has to be more than the sum of its parts and it seems like Southgate is onto something in that aspect. Not to mention that there is finally a good feeling and atmosphere around it. Today you were beaten by experience. Beaten by a better team. Not necessarily beaten by a better collection of individuals but very clearly a more coherent and astute side. No shame in that, keep the momentum going and England can cause some serious damage at least for the next couple of tournaments.
  21. Do we know when the Augsburg tickets go on sale? Can't seem to find anything on the website.
