  1. If Rafa walks the supporters will have to take some serious measures, preferably boycotting St. James's on matchday and protesting outside the ground meanwhile. I know it's a ludicrous example but in March West Ham supporters threw a hissy fit as you all probably remember and now the two dildos in charge of the club decided to bring in a world class manager and give him some serious financial backing. I know Ashely is probably the devil incarnate but he can take a hint just like any other club owner and we're not giving him any hints by packing St. James's to the gills every other week.

    England

Most of Europe doesn't kind of share that self-deprecating humour or banter that surrounds Three Lions and such. They get it but they can also sense a hint of arrogance in it and probably find England's exit funny because they perceive the English to have a tendency to get ahead of themselves and that they're desperately trying to hold on to a sort of former 'imperial greatness'. British or rather specifically English exceptionalism is very real and yes very tedious to a lot of Europeans, after all you drive on the wrong side and measure your weight in stone ffs It's really not that hard to put into perspective with Brexit and all.
  3. Somehow have a deep dislike for him. Bet he'd be good in Perez's position though.

You can be proud of England. Finally, and probably for the first time since I've been watching, England look like they have something in the semblance of a team on their hands. And they're young. There's a good spine to this squad from Pickford, Stones and Maguire towards Henderson, Sterling and Kane and although some of them might never develop to be world class that's not really how international football works. I know it's a cliché but a national team has to be more than the sum of its parts and it seems like Southgate is onto something in that aspect. Not to mention that there is finally a good feeling and atmosphere around it. Today you were beaten by experience. Beaten by a better team. Not necessarily beaten by a better collection of individuals but very clearly a more coherent and astute side. No shame in that, keep the momentum going and England can cause some serious damage at least for the next couple of tournaments.
  5. Do we know when the Augsburg tickets go on sale? Can't seem to find anything on the website.
  6. Kinda want to see this at a pub. But I just recently moved to Glasgow so I guess not just any pub any suggestions?
  7. Can't help but think France have a couple of more gears to slip into. They have at least completely fooled me of how good they really are.
  8. Fellaini, Witsel and Dembele are gonna stifle Griezmann and Pogba. France won't threat much with Matuidi on one of the wings.
  9. I don't know. For me he seems to fit right in and is able to be a key player for at least five years. With Iniesta and Xavi out and Messi and Suarez at the wrong side of 30 they're bound to need some replacements. There really aren't many players in the world capable of that but I'd like to think that Coutinho is one of them. I'm just honestly not sure if getting rid of him and having 400m in the bank instead helps that situation. Just goes to show how mad money in football has become even entertaining the thought of not selling someone for 400m After all it's just a question of what money can really buy you. I guess it makes sense in terms of the Nou Camp renovation.
  10. I presume they are going to sell Neymar/Mbappé and want a replacement. Release fee is €400m, if they oblige I'll drive Coutinho to Paris myself. Would you though...? Money and worth in football has gone so bonkers. Would Barcelona be better off as a team with €400m in the bank and Coutinho out the door? Honestly I'm not sure. Football is a strange economy
  11. Ours has to be one of the worst if not the worst academy in the PL.
  12. So strange. He's 23 years old this year and has pretty much never played a competitive game. His agent must be a wizard.

Fucking well done England. Very professional and tactically coherent performance, big kudos to Southgate, he had a plan and it worked in every aspect. Has to be said there's a good spine to this side. From Pickford to Maguire towards Henderson and Kane.
  14. Fucking Lukaku man. Such a joy to watch, has it all. De Bruyne has to be the best passer of a ball I've ever seen as well. Pure filth that Belgium side when they're on.
  15. Whisper it quietly but I heard that it wasn't the PL when Leeds won it.

    Alassane Pléa

Like the look of him. Seems like the kind of all-in-one striker that Rafa prefers - quick, can finish, shoot from distance, run the channels and capable in the air. Reminds me a bit of Remy.

Falcao wins a ridiculuous amount of headers for being 5ft10.
  19. Tactical masterclass from Martinez bringing on Fellaini and Chadli
  20. This is why you never go far, this is why you lose to Iceland and this will probably be the reason for you lot losing against Colombia on Tuesday. Unbelievable mentality Nowt to fear against Croatia, Jesus wept.
  21. What's funny? He will clearly have to start playing deeper and he has all of the technique, vision & passing range of Modric. Modric covers a ridiculous amount of ground, probably on average 60% more than Messi does. This includes a lot of closing down and running into space, something which Messi in his thirties is probably not going to all of a sudden start doing haha. Would love to see Messi in a more relaxed playmaking role as he gets older but Modric is pretty much a box-to-box player.
