Chuffed for our fans who made the journey. What a night for them!

Totally understand hating on the Hollywood element with Wrexham. But no matter how you spin it it’s a bona fide football fairytale. They’ve done it with a lot of integrity and respect for the local community. It’s not just about pumping in money. If it was that easy that kind of success would happen regularly, which doesn’t.

Haven’t seen him all too often but Akliouche seems just about exactly what we need on the right wing.
-
Really want to see Woltemade in that second striker role again.

I’m usually a bit thick but glad Eddie took my advice to heart.

Walk off AFCON style

How the hell are Villa so lucky

If Bruno is out for the season we have to switch things up a bit tactically and involve him more facing the goal and with players around him.

Can’t stand that kind of ex-manager revisionism. “Yeah I really wanted to sign Maradona but the board just wasn’t as smart as me.” They spent around 150m pounds on players that season. But it doesn’t eliminate the fact that the big five can sign a player for 70m pounds, just toss him in the reserves or out on loan if it doesn’t work out and then buy a new one for 80m pounds. Rinse and repeat. That’s the main difference. See Mudryk, Anthony, Sancho, Höjlund etc.

Something isn’t right mentally. Please don’t let it be more betting.

Fair play to Gordon that was brilliant.

Fuuuuck that meant a lot to him!

Press us high up the pitch and we crumble.

Seen these given…

Can’t wait for an autistic guy in a gaming chair chalking this off.

Forever grateful to the dorks that brought us VAR.

Great play by our midfield three!

But in all seriousness we can't control games, we don't have the legs to press high and we're massively leaking goals. Plus I'd really want Tonali to just sit as a #6. Had enough of his forays forward for now.

We need a clean sheet. Would be fine with sitting back and countering with Elanga and Osula.

I usually hate this sentiment but it looks like we need a reset of sort. We desperately need a fresh approach tactically and in the transfer market. But what do we want from cups and Europe seeing as we, and most other clubs around us, can’t cope with the added pressure? How can we progress in the next decade? Buying PL-experienced players isn’t working out now. Competing with Man U, Chelsea, Barca, Liverpool and City in the transfer market is beyond our reach. Competing on all fronts isn’t working. Trying to press less and gaining more control in games hasn’t worked. I’m not entirely convinced a new manager is the right answer to these problems but we need a new plan and new objectives. On a more positive note we have a core of players to work from. Livramento, Hall, Thiaw, Bruno and Woltemade. And one of the most promising midfielders in world football who also happens to be a local lad. Building something new around them should be our primary objective. And that means saying goodbye to the majority of the old guard; Murphy, Pope, Schär and Trippier. Pair a rebuild like that around an objective of winning the Europe League for example and I’d be very happy.

Tonali should be there to pick up the header from Botman. Three goals conceded to Brentford at home is serious stuff.

Fucking shoot for once

You have not known pain until you’ve heard a danish commentator pronounce Guimaraes.

Tonali should just sit in front of the back 4 and recycle the ball. And for the love of god stop playing those early forward balls.
