Don't know how yous can listen to them accents like.

I was only young at the time, so my recollection of events may not be that good. However I feel that our defence was the weakest aspect of the squad, the likes of O-Brien, Hughes, Griffin et el were not as good as the rest of the squad. Bernard was great, but everyone else in defence was rubbish, well not rubbish but standard Premier League players back then when the rest of the squad was one of the better teams. Had we have a defence to match the rest of the squad then we might have taken that final step and won something, even if it was just through a cup run. I agree. Put our defence now in that team and we would probably have won something.

His tackle, although arguably a little bit reckless (due to studs up) was quite key I thought. It came when Huddersfield were starting to try and stamp a bit of authority on the game and boss us a bit and put them back in their box a bit. Lascelles' wrongful booking kinda did that early doors too. Tackles are often underrated in my opinion (biased albeit as a CB). They can be absolute game changers. I think it was Clark last season did one vs Norwich which arguably won us the game.

Aye I remember hearing someone say that. Think it might have been on football focus. Maybe even Lawro? Or Osman? I genuinely think him making Lascelles our skipper is arguably one of his best ever managerial decisions, certainly long term one's. Likewise, Lascelles decision to boot off with our lot has made his career. Think it's a valuable lesson for any young bairn.
