Gordon needs to get Gordon back to his levels.

He has been better recently but still not at his best. His finishing and crossing has been largely wank for a long time now (and hasnt taken much of an upturn recently either (despite his performances being better overall). It isn't harsh it is factually correct. I'm not slaughtering his recent performances - recently I have been praising him (somewhat) and giving him credit where it's due (despite not being his biggest fan). I'm not gonna sit and watch the narrative of "Howe needs to get more out of him " that's the point. Thatsnutter nonsense. He works for every other player in the squad and every other player that's been and gone just about.

Is he one of our most dangerous players? He cannot hit a cows arse with a banjo, goes inside when playing left, won't play the right and when he's tackled stays doon for like 2mins longer than he should. He's no better that Murphy based on his tenure at Newcastle and many folks feelings of Murphy rank far lower than Gordon's. I kna who I'd pick. I agree...get more out of him or sell him. So the likelihood is sell him. He won't get anywhere bigger than this and get regular game time. Mark my word. He's showing in the CL his quality because the quality is lower than that of the PL it would seem. I hate to say that, but it seems evident.

Apologies mate I didn't realise. The point I guess isn't so much the result or the good time but that above all else it gave someone who needed it the respite they deserved. I'm sure a lot of people have and will experience the similar or same but actually...that's when football - like any major faith reinvigorates the soul. This last few weeks whilst folk have whinged I've looked and thought "Fuck me. Cup winners. Semi finalists. FA Cup 4th Round. Champions League top 8. PL top 10." Apologies- I wasn't clear enough. For the duration of Gordon's poor performance - Murphy has received more critique than he has - is what I meant. Murphy cannot put a foot wrong without being berated. Meanwhile Gordon can fuck about creating shite all, being in the wrong place at the wrong time and being sent off and seemingly applauded for his effort over a similar time period. Over the last 6 weeks or so, Gordon has been our second best winger behind Barnes. I will give that much. But he is capable of more.

To add... We should have changed our methodology in the 18months that saw us win our first domestic cup in 70 years? Howe believes he is our most gifted winger and he isn't delivering. A fault of Howe's- I agree. But overall... there is one of the two underachieving here and it moat certainly isn't Edward Howe
