I think more people need to walk the walk this time than talk the talk in the pub like last time. Protesting doesn't have 'no' effect. It shows the world we're not spackermongs who get taken for a ride. Significant change doesn't happen nicely, it never has. Do people think tuition fees will be nicely reconsidered? No, because people don't pay attention until they're made to. I personally think no one turning up until half time would be good but i'm up for showing my discontent in a number of ways. I just hope people don't start going on like the people who are acting on their beliefs are stupid or scum, because that fucks me off even more than the situation itself. For once our fans need to reach a consensus and force this fat fuck out!

This period now is going to be his toughest test, and ours as supporters for a long time. Providing everyone works together we'll pull through, and as long as no fickle fuckers turn their backs on the team and Hughton we can push on. Hughton is the man to take us forward, providing he receives the backing he deserves from both us in the stands and them in the board room. What Hughton has achieved thus far is nothing short of amazing - just look at 'Boro who were favourites to get promoted this season. Last year - many were writing us off pre-season. Anyway - who would you replace him with who would actually come here in this scenario???

The matches are so much better in level 7 like. Hate to blow our trumpets like but the toon ultras and likeminded fans won the singing section. We didn't go to meet people with portfolios and turn up with banners for nowt. :-)

After hearing some of the newer songs being sung in the Gallowgate, it has became even more evident that this myth of old, that the Leazes Corner was quiet, seems just like people trying to blame someone else because they don't sing themselves. The Leazes Corner and opposite corner sometimes do very well to generate an atmosphere from nothing. It happened on Saturday when frustration began setting in after about 60minutes. As a result of not scoring in that 10minutes slowly the ground became quiet once again. I hate the fact that some (not all) people still see the Leazes Corner as full of charvers and knackers, when really it's just a different type of fan who are passionate about singing for their team. There's some real creativity and comedy in Leazes Level 7 and it's what the rest of the ground is missing, I personally feel. Someone fainted or something on the stairs the other day and everyone was genuinely concerned and looking out for the bloke. I like the comraderie (sp?) in Level 7 and to be honest, it's the main reason I continue to purchase my season ticket there.

I've gone from hating joey to liking the bloke. Punching one of their players is stupid but I understand it. We have a passionate, close-knit team, and long may it remain that way. Removing that occassional act would be removing that passion.

Appoint hughton, get rid of the overpaid pre-madonnas like owen. Sign the players we already have and ben arfa, set up a good scouting network and find good young talent for cover for our first team. Sign hatem and a good quick striker to play off caroll/shola.
