  1. Someone suggested a while ago that Ashley's ego probably wouldn't let him sell up in case someone else does well with us. I can't disagree with that too much. Who? Me? No mate, didn't mean that. Might have been someone on Toontastic. I was just saying as it's a similar theme to your post. Ah right got me all confused for a moment...

  3. Arsenal will be serious contenders this year imo, and Chelsea totally outclassed Liverpool today imo. Can see it being a 3-horse race.
  4. For one reason and one reason only I would appoint Keegan again - and that would be to come in under a new owner and take us to the top of the Premiership just to stick two fingers up at the wanksplats currently in charge.
  5. Shocking, turely shocking, its bordering corruption. He should have been nailed on it. f***ing aye. It's laughable that they've seemingly avoided the fact that this arsehole recommended we spend £1m on a player for a favour and told the manager to look him up on YouTube. You couldn't make it up. Aye, I could hardly believe their coverage of it earlier. Especially making a big joke of him "not wanting another job in the North East any time soon." It riled me quite a lot. However, on the flip side chants of "You're not famous any more", comments of "you're not a big club" and the increasing number of championship games getting televised (nearly all of which have Newcastle involved) would suggest some sort of obsession. We're not a big club - yet they feel the need to have 2 ex-members of staff on the panel of one of the largest games in the season and manage to discuss Newcastle United - that small club from down in the Championship - stupid fuckers. For as much as they like to laugh and make fun, they really are the ones coming out with least credibility. I'm sure nearly all of the fans who have come up here this season wouldn't have a bad word to say about our fans, and I'm certain many peoples eyes will have been opened in the last year to just how embarassing the media have become in this country with regards to sport. Fucking wankers.
  6. How the f*** is he a 'thieving c***' for claiming any amount in a case which he went on to win? Stick to NFL, you plum. Agreed compensation of 2m, he got what he deserved, but he tried to get more. How does that make him a thief? Haha, okay, attempted thief. What was he trying to steal? Did he not give justification for his claim? Did he not then accept that this justification was flawed? I don't care what he has said after the decision had been made, it's completely irrelevant. When in court (or whatever it's called!) he tried to get £25m and he failed as it was completely unjustifiable. So, again, how does that make him a thief? Were the fans that attempted to sue the club over the seats affair 'thieving c***s'? Was Bobby Robson a 'thieving c***'? 1) already explained 2) have no clue about said cases Sending me PMs is pretty pathetic like. You haven't explained a thing. Avoiding questions is more so, I'd say. You're f***ing plastic, pal. Tbf, I adore Sir Bob and his passion for the game, and I love Keegan for the same reason - however they are both millionaires, and ST holders tend to be grafting their bollocks off to just about afford their ST. Putting them in the same argument isn't really doing your argument justice, imo. In addition to this it's all based on circumstances, Sir Bob wasn't claiming for cash when we were in the 2nd division and cash strapped with a useless cunt of an owner.
  7. So 99% of the forum shouldn't have an opinion because they didn't do law to University level?
  8. It's more like being laid off and claiming the redundancy pay you were entitled to. ...and then suing the employer because they have tarnished your good name?
  9. It's all beginning to bore me now the Keegan stuff. Obviously it matters but we just need to focus on what's happening on the pitch.
  10. No - he's had his time, now let's move on.
  11. He won't put us into administration. *sigh* Don't sigh at me...bitch.
  12. What was great about the Keegan days was no-one necessarily expected us to win the title, we were always the underdog, and therefore the thought of success was always almost dream-like. The Keegan days were like an Adidas advert saying "Impossible is nothing." However, I will be sincerely pissed off if Keegan effectively puts us into administration. Although you cannot really blame the fella, as it is perfectly within his rights to contest money that is essentially his.
  13. well piers, I wouldn't shake your hand unless I'd just wanked off a syphillitic pig with mine. You would still shake his hand...
  14. 3-1 I can see the headlines now. Kish' settles in as Maaarlon Is cooking on gas.
  15. Heron

    Could this be us.

    Would the above suggest not?
  16. What has Keegan done wrong though? He walked out of the job after being undermined and lied to. What happened afterwards was all down to the board being incompetent. Him wanting compensation is what every manager does, and even if its excessive I don't blame him after the attempted smear campaign in the press by those running the club - people with no business being in football. Keegan is supposed to love the club, and by loving the club and area I would at least expect them not to fuck both up for the sake of a few bob. I'm sure King Kev and his family are fucking loaded and don't particularly need all this cash... If he weren't to fuck the fans over by basically helping us go into administration, then he would become far more popular again...and maybe his intentions as our manager the second time round would become slightly more believable... Like previously mentioned - he cannot be totally innocent in it all...surely.
  17. The Quiche? Has someone been Khizin, his vili? He was half decent the other day.
  18. Like we are for being obsessed with their attendances? Who said I was talking about Sunderland attendances?
  19. Cracking result - I didn't expect a win, never mind a 4-0 one. However, I thought a large part of this appeared to have been down to the crowd and occassion. I was expecting Portman Road to be buzzing and really up for it, and the team to be fired up from the dog molesters team talk. Yet, they simply seemed in awe of the occassion and almost frightened of a strong but comfortable performance from our lot. The atmosphere surprised me alot, and everything Ipswich Town did on the day seemed to fall short of my expectations - except for the Sir Bobby tributes (on a side note that Laura Wright was stunning). If Sir Bobby was watching down on that I have no doubts he would have loved to see the lads in Black and White looking so dominant, but I think he would have been fairly disappointed by their performance (Ipswich). As for the songs, I thought at 4-0 a rather venomous few renditions of "You fat cockney b******" sounded rather amusing, and the t*** deserved nothing less after turning up to such an occassion without even putting a tie on. It was embarassing, to see the Ipswich lot all smartly dressed and that fat b****** stood their like he'd just been for a nice coffee in some swanky London cafe. It actually pissed me off quite alot. The one time I recal any noise throughout the game from Ipswich was when they sang "we never sacked Bobby Robson" after we sang "sacked in the morning". While the occassion was hardly the time to be so harsh to one another, it was - on the other hand - fitting that a football crowd gave a bit football banter. All in all, a decent event and a fairly good send off for Sir Bob. Roll on QPR...
  20. Good post. However, what people have to ask themselves is that if they are willing to be so blunt and open about how they hate Mike Ashley (who has done f*** all to them personally but had a massive effect on the club) they at least have to consider how Keegan could effect the club, and have to have some sort of discontent about his apparent decision to go through with this case. It would be double-standards to hate one with a passion and to not even temporarily dislike the other. Obviously Keegan has done so much more for us as a club in the past, which I'm sure we can all be grateful for, but this certaintly doesn't mean he can get out of a scenario like this clean of criticism.
  21. Those two bits are about as unlikely as each other so you've no real argument. As I mentioned - it wasn't an 'argument' just another way to look at it.
