  1. would have said "the newly introduced singing section" rather than "the newly produced singing section" edit: sorry. saw it too late Cheers anyways mate. That would have sounded better you're right. My vocabulary isn't the greatest so I never even thought of using that...besides I was quite rushed because the people who said they would write the articles never bothered. Cheers for your help.
  2. These have now been sent to The Mag. Cheers for checking through those that did...
  3. And finally this one.... Word Count: 365
  4. Cheers lads, how about this one too? Word Count: 301
  5. ..... Would you be so kind as to check that these articles sound alright? I have a limited amount of time before I can send it and on Toon Ultras there isn't many people Online. I'm not asking you's to debate about what has been wrote, I just want to make sure it sounds okay. Cheers for your help! (if you do) 2 Articles which link in together. Word count: 796 I'll do a song one now, should bring us upto about 1,400/1,500 words all in all....
  6. With the Great North Run, Credit Crunch and shite on and off the pitch prior to today, that is a good turn out.
  7. It should have been Givens ball in an ideal world. However, as a defender I know myself that in those situations you get rid. "If in doubt, knock it out!" It's possible that this was just a lack of understandingbetween Shay and the two centre halves....the same lack of understanding which will hopefully be eradicated as time goes on.
  8. Personally I felt this was more down to the poor defending and cove rprovided by our wingers. Geremi is passed it and too slow and Charlie just doesn't have a defensive mind/any defensive qualities.
  9. Don't really see how it's such a bad song? it isn't if it wasn't so much of a piss take Ah, right. I kind of get where you're coming from. We've sang that about Shearer and other players before though, I know this time it's more of a piss take like but it's kind of football humour.....
  10. Ameobi tge scapegoat again... He did the right thing in squaring it.
  11. Don't really see how it's such a bad song?
  12. What's the odds on him being sacked now?
  13. It's far too early to judge him. I think he looks decent so fa rbut he needs some consistancy along side him. No back four can play to its full potential until it has had a substantial period to gel.
  14. I'm shocked he isn't in the England set up!
  15. Some of what Souness said was understandable. I'm with Kinnear on this one though...fuck the press. Quite chuffed about the result, i'm sure we were all assuming defeat was the only answer after we went 1-0 down never mind 2. I kept my mouth shut at 40minutes when the lads I was watchign it were saying we had no chanc eof owt though, and was repayed by a brilliant Steven Taylor header. After we equalise I felt rather proud of what we had achieved. Going 2-0 down under the circumstances we are in and after the recent form made it seem like it was impossible to claw any form of result out of it, yet we showed that belief and determination to get something. Now we just have to kick on from that! It's not going to be easy but it can be done!

    Michael Owen

Michael Owen is the 1, I repeat 1, player we have with undoubted quality. To get rid of him would be rediculous. He's been the one who's carried us through the last 4 or 5 games, the only one showing all of the necessary ingredients. Just because he was absent today doesn't mean we should sell him...christ. On the subject of England, we twatted Croatia. Why change a winning team, besides Owen remains fit for us which is my main concern. Good on Capello!!!

    Joe Kinnear

For me...Kinnear has simply made quotes, that are the equivalent to what every Newcastle fan is thinking. He has fucked off the press, and good on him. The only way he was going to gain support from the fans without playing games was to do that, because tbh no-one was exactly ecstatic about his appointment. If he causes a bit of a stir up I couldn't care a shite as long as we perform. Today we performed...averagely...but with a bit of fight, which resulted in us clawing ourselves back from what appeared to be another worrying defeat. What difference does it make if he does slate them, they victimise the North East anyways, only now they have a reason to. Fuck the press. As long as we have a bit of fight and pull ourselves out of this mess I couldn't give a toss. At 2-1/2-2 when our support chanted "Newcastle United Will Never Be Defeated!" that said enough to me. When backs are to the walls you have to come out fighting, and I think that's exactly what his press conference did, it gave us a bit of fight back. So hopefully it will continue and we can climb up the league!
  18. I'm not a member like, I don't have a clue about them atm...
  19. I can see where you're coming from like...I'm not massively for a massively for it, just think it could be decent if ran correctly.
  20. Can I ask why? Just think it's a good idea to have one United group who can channel the voices of each fan the right way. Obviously each individuals own opinions won't always be the general consensus of the group, but I think in a lot of circumstances certain opinions will be heavily backed, and by having a respectable group, with mature, sensible members at the top of the hierarchy I think it will be extremely effective. Well, to start with I disagree with that as a description of the group. Thus far they haven't shown themselves to be any of those things. Anyway, letting that slide... Why is this group even necessary... ever? I'm uncertain/unaware of anything to do with the group, I was just saying I think it's quite a good idea to have one thing which all Newcastle fans can use to voice their opinions. I think there are plenty of situations where if Newcastles fans could actually unite they could be even stronger. At the moment their are quite a few individual groups who get their input, some to a lesser degree than others. For example you have nufc.com, True Faith and The Mag who all seem to lead the way in terms of communicating with the club and the fans. Everyone looks to them to channel their thoughts and views. To a lesser extent you have Newcastle Online which has a vast amount of members and a huge variation of opinions and views, but never gives a public statement if you liek of what the general consensus is ont he forums. You obviously have various other forums which do a similar job, but offer a different form of entertainment to it's members. Not sure but I have heard skunkers and a few others mentioned before, for me I go on here and the final one I was about to mention.... Toon Ultras, it's the forum I spend most of my internet time on as well as on here now. I think especially in these times - not as muh with the Ashley saga, but more so the financial and educational commitments it's hard for a lot of people off our site to get to games and stuff. Therefore they are losing interest, obviously the shite we are in doesn't help either. Toon Ultras are far from the finished article and are far different from any of the groups previously mentioned. Not only in their views but also by their ambitions and the core age group. That's why many are struggling to come to terms with what we want to achieve and what we believe in. As a result for me I think by having a main supporters group which we can all have an input in, it will prove beneficial to everyone. Just because sometimes I feel like it's a running battle for who has the last say or the strongest argument, and I for one would love to see Toon Ultras/Bring Back The Noise to grow into something more respectable with older and mature members who can help to progress the levels of support in the ground. I feel it's about time we had an outlet, where we can all get involved in deciding anything from who is on the board to who will throw the streamers when the players come out. It's just about time we United and got a bit of faith and enjoyment back in supporting our club. AND I'VE JUST BABBLED FOR A BIT. I know what i'm getting at, just not saying it the best way as usual.

    Quick Question

    Fucking hell, is that it?!?!

  23. Not sure but they got to be gutted nusc.com & nusc.co.uk are both gone. Are they? What happened like?
  24. 17th. Initially I would be ecstatic. We would have just about survived another year of top flight football. However, f***ing hell, 17th man...christ. I would be completely irritated and annoyed by finishing that low...we're Newcastle United, we should eb aspiring to be finishing above at least about 8 teams in this league. That's why I said no. No can be the only logical answer.
