So they would probably join in with any attempt of a 'Stand Up For Keegan', if that resembles what the majority want.... Looks like it's going to be a normal matchday then....
-
You are? Yeah, I am. Still unsure what to think, my main concern is to back the lads, but at the same time I think it's right that people vice their opinions, just to give the board and/or Ashley a bit of a wake up call....
-
That's not what I suggested. Hang fire and wait until you get more sensible, practical ideas. Bin the s*** ideas, reset the votes to zero and give people a few votes so they're not limited to just picking one course of action. Capiche? I tell you what...you sort it out when you think the time is right. I'll handle the TU lot on our site...

Tomorrow at 9ish we can stop the voting in here and i'll make a new one with the 3 most popular choices...

Just because we did now thten doesn't mean we shouldn't now, people learn from their mistakes and sometimes it's a case of wear and tear. I reckon wear and tear is what is is this time with this situation being the straw that broke the camels back....2 Wrongs don't make a right. It's not really a wrong tbh, Keegan wouldn't accept the club's plan for safeguarding the future of the club. I fail to see why people are getting so angry towards someone doing something in the best interests of the club in the long-term [yes, I'm aware he has a financial interest in this, but without his $$$ we'd have been racing Northern Rock to go bust first]. If Keegan, who has historically insisted on being the centre of attention, didn't want to lower his level of personal glory in order to let the club move forward then he had no option but to walk away...again. Ashley's biggest mistake was appointing him in the first place, although part of me understands why he did it at the time (feelgood factor, etc). Sadly he may be forced out before the long-term effects are felt and, more importantly, appreciated by the fans who are acting so impatiently now. You raise good points. Like i've said a few times in various threads, I am pretty much sitting on the fence about it all until we see what sort of success we get under new leadership (i.e. a new manager). I still understand why so many people are pissed off though... Says how stupid you are when Keegan resigns you buy your travel for an away game. Says it all about how much we love our club....

Just reminds me what we are now missing so bad Shut up man. We'll be seeing threads begging for the return of Shearer next on a short-term contract. Why not? Because there's a world of difference to playing 1 charity match and the premier league... Course there isn't man. Get himsigned up.

I'm depressed now after watching Shearer get a hat-trick...

I reckon this sort of thign should be staged 4 or 5 times a year in 4 or 5 locations around the UK..possibly even playing one in an LEDC. If they did it 5 or 6 times a year they could do it all over the place and encourage a lot more youngsters to football matches for a cheap price, a price they should have to pay. If more kids get involved in sport the fitter they will be, etc. Could only be good all round. Obviously it's a problem gaining time to do it at vacant stadia...but even if they staged it at smaller grounds like Gateshead stadium for like a 5a. Would make shit loads, it would entertain loads (much more than Corry or watchin' England play) and would get a lot more people involved in the sport. Should definately be done more often....

England tonight > England Last Night

What a header. Cannot whack Mr Shearer like. Still Englands # 1.

Ant and Dec clearly dismissed any thoughts of it being a dive. Was quite amusing. Shearer is a legend.

Should sign Figo...creative midfielder...

Shearer struggled to keep going there...

... Just thought I'd make up a few humourous songs in case he takes over.... We got Anil Ambani He brought some Cobra beer and when he came to St James' he got a massive cheer! He took over from Ashley, He spent some of his cash, but after one of his curries, I really had to dash! UNITED!! UNITED!!! Chicken Balti Pie, Chicken Balti Pie, Chicken Balti, Chicken Balti, Chicken Balti Pie!! Anil Ambani Anil Ambaniiiii, He saved us from Ashley, he makes lush Jalfrezi, Anil Ambani... Ambani is a Geordie, he wears a Geordie hat, and when he saw Bigg Market, he said I fancy that, We've got a koh-i-noor there, a golden Bhengal too, Ambani just said "fuck that!", "I'll gan and buy the toon!"
