Fucking Yanks 'Evolved as a manager' 'attractive football' That comment has to be from Pardew himself. He's the only person in the world who thinks his teams play an attractive style.

Manchester United vs Newcastle United - Sat 22nd August @ 12:45pm (BT Sport 1)

Just saw Depay's goals...our back four will look like a bunch of Make-A-Wish kids getting to kick the ball around with Premier League footballers. -
Love that NBC is sticking around. Every network has commentators and analysts I find annoying, but honestly, that's why mute buttons exist. (Never had much of a problem with Arlo, for what it's worth.) I couldn't imagine going back to the tape delay days at this point. Though I do wish NBC would fix their web streams. Every time I've had to use them for some reason, the video has been pretty jerky, and it's got a weird aspect ratio when you put it in fullscreen mode.

IIRC, didn't Janmaat urge his teammates to go over and applaud the traveling fans after the infamous Southampton match last year? He'd only been at NUFC for a couple months at that point, too! I'd happily make someone like that captain.

Bet Ryder saw nothing wrong with that Kinnear interview a couple years back. Yohan Kebab? Whatever, close enough.

Colback is basically another Danny Guthrie: not enough of an athlete to be a box-to-box midfielder, some technical skill, a decent if unspectacular passer, some semblance of tackling ability. If we still had Cabaye, and Colback started a dozen or so matches alongside him like Guthrie did in 11-12, I bet he'd be fine. Sadly, that isn't the case.
-
Explains his loyalty to Carver then...birds of a feather, etc.
-
I'm picturing Pardew flying to Paris in a ridiculous disguise and trying to trick Cabaye with the same promises of champagne football and 100 touches per match.

After watching us "play," and hearing the statement from the club today... http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/0/06/Spinal_Tap_-_Up_to_Eleven.jpg

The Union in the first half on Saturday were a pretty good match for Carver's NUFC in terms of general cluelessness. I loved watching Nogueira last season...putting him in a 2-man midfield and hoofing it over his head is absolutely criminal.

2014/15 NUFC Kits - New third kit revealed on page 143
StrandedX02 replied to bowlingcrofty's topic in Football
I think the biggest confusion I got was when I'd wear my 2011-12 shirt with Ben Arfa on the back, because I'm pretty sure people thought I'd bought a shirt with my full name on it. -
ESPN commentators praising Mascherano's performance and marveling that he couldn't make the lineup at West Ham.
-
He also had this to say... Have to share this: I asked him what he said to Phil Dowd to get sent off. Shola told Dowd that the previous play that led to the goal wasn't a foul and that he got it wrong. Dowd gave him a yellow. Then Dowd turned to Colo and told him that he will give Shola another yellow if he keeps talking. Then Shola asked Dowd if he would really send him off for speaking to him like a man. Second yellow was produced.

http://www.newcastle-online.org/nufcforum/index.php?topic=89869.0 Salah claimed to have signed for us in 2011. One for Kinnear to take credit for? -

Official: Yoan Gouffran signs new contract with Goztepe
StrandedX02 replied to Tooj's topic in Football
I own a Gouffran shirt. When I got it, I was ceaselessly mocked by every other NUFC fan I knew. Don't think anyone's laughing anymore. -
On my way into the bar to watch the match here in Boston, there happened to be a Villa fan standing out front. He was scared to death of Benny. Can only imagine what he was like afterward...he left with about 10 min to go.
-
That'll do for me. Really, I think he'll be fine for the US as long as he's playing every week. Doesn't seem like a very high hurdle, given the mackems' mess of a squad. That being said, I'm a bigger NUFC supporter than US supporter. If I get deported for saying that, will the Geordies on here take me in?
-
Why wouldn't they? On top of the reasons already mentioned we have arguably the best beaches in the world, a few natural wonders that are only here (Everglades), and some of the most interesting culture in the country due to our melting-pot of a population. There's a reason that Orlando is the #1 tourist destination in the country and its not just for the nice weather (which there is, almost entirely year-round). Yes, but it's full of shitheads. As someone who grew up in South Florida but currently living in Boston, I think the shithead quotient is far, far higher up here.
-
Good to hear, I know he was the leader at Montpelier, but seems to be much quieter/reserved on the pitch from my view on television. I think he'll be fine once he keeps playing consistently, especially next to Colo. More movement while he's on the ball would help too, there were several times he looked up and had nothing which resulted in turnovers. Still young, very promising. Think he'll be very good, but he seems to have lapses in concentration when he turns it over. I agree though, get a partnership going with he and Colo, and we'll look 10 times better at the back than we did last season.
-
They're not showing our match though...Everton-Stevenage instead. Consider it a blessing, I guess.
-
I have no idea how someone has played in the Premier League for as long as he has with positioning as bad as his. When you watch the replays of his "great" tackles and blocked shots, he's played the striker onside at least 50% of the time. Shocking stuff.
-
Was there for that horrid 7-3 match last season and there were probably 5 times as many NUFC supporters as Arsenal ones. It was like a parallel universe or something.
-
Suppose I had to show up at some point! Maybe I'll pop over to the NFL thread and see what's up with the fantasy league. That's what I meant - too lazy to look up who owned who. Anyway, Comcast subscribers were going to get the full suite of PL coverage for sure. Now what ridiculous thing is NBC going to say about us in this show on Thursday?
