Against Man U I was booked to return on the last bus home which was just after 11pm, I felt so bad that I got the first bus back and couldn't wait to get out of London, it was s****. Guess thats just you. My dad had been a few times and apart from the football had a great weekend away with his mates. Exactly! That's what you do. The only shit Wembley experience I've had was at the Charity Shield, where we went there and back by coach in a day - dreadful. Stay for the weekend, drink and have a laugh with the opposition supporters, that's what it's all about, I'm actually quite envious of the makems now.

They'll not win the cup and they'll have a horrible trip back, losing in a final is about as bad as it gets. Hopefully Man City will also embarrass them. Sorry but that's absolute and utter bullshit mate. I've seen us lose four cup finals (as I suspect you have) and have had a fuckin blast everytime. It's disappointing, but no disgrace to be beaten by a top team at Wembley. What is a disgrace is not even trying in the cups.

    Please let this happen
  4. Aye, I at that bit as well, probably the reason why it wouldn't be worth putting in the Pardew thread. Good entertaining read though, I like this blokes style.
  5. Cracking read that! ...as is the Pardew article by the same fella. http://www.vice.com/en_uk/read/alan-pardews-paying-for-his-faustian-pact

Dunno. My recollections are that, although the "enemy", they were generally a decent bunch who endured their plight with a resigned kind of humour and grudgingly accepted that they were of no real interest to anyone outside the NE. I think when their attendances doubled/trebled overnight, after the SoL was developed, those old timers were overwhelmed by a new generation of idiots who seem to have a huge chip on their shoulders about life in general and Newcastle in particular and many of the old timers just gave up on them. This x1000.
  7. This. All of our recent defeats against the makems have been in seasons where they've had the edge on us. Off the top of my head you've got to go back to the 1990 playoff debacle for the "form goes out of the window" statement to ring true.

The classy club tag has well and truly gone the distance now. Nothing they say or do from this juncture will ever make me think they're anything other than a bunch of utter f***ing cretins. They're appointing a self confessed fascist as manager and they're trying to justify his politics. Tossers. Well said.

I heard a couple of years ago from a decent media source (I KNOW I KNOW!) that Moyes is biding his time for the Man U job. If Ferguson decides to stay a few more years he'll go to Germany. He wouldn't touch Sunderland with a bargepole. Or us for that matter. I'd love to see him here.
  12. Good. We've been on the receiving end of trial by TV before for much lesser infringements.
  13. What utter horseshit that is. Agreed. That snapshot (snap being an unfortunate word) was at the time of impact. What the f*** was he watching in the nano-seconds before it i.e. when the t*** was going in with the straight-legged, studs up, knee-high boot? This. Saved me typing in my raged state.
  14. What utter horseshit that is. 3 other refs on the pitch. No one sees anything...please This. This x2.
  15. Merci beaucoup, I've had a few, but thought the same thing myself.

No jaws been "wired" here, I can assure you. ...and nowt through the letterbox either.
  17. it did look like it when he walked off Wouldn't be the first time. Remember him crying when Boro got hammered when he was a Smog. Tiny Tears
  18. No it wasn't. Long went over easily, but there was definite contact. Even O'Shea thought he was off.
  19. Dived into the challenge as well. Straight red all day.

And of course, the irony is that their training ground isn't in Sunderland, it's in South Tyneside. Mental cases the lot of them.
