@jenriquefans Which one of you losers is this? Pestering him will make him stop posting on twitter altogether... Jose has set the bar on replying to tweets too high. No way he can maintain his current ratio.
  3. Krul Simmo Willo Colo Enrique Tiote Routs Barton Jonas Nolan Carroll I would include Routledge. Last time i watched Birmingham they had Ridgewell playing at LB. Routs would give him a lot of trouble imo. Nolan to play the role Ameobi has been the last few weeks. Barton to play the role Nolan is now. Willo to play on Zigic due to height. Colo is our best organiser of the defence imo and is the other CB for me. Will take a draw but know as with any Newcastle game it could go anywhere. I'll predict a 1-1 draw
  4. Great game of football. Krul 6.5 Looked shaky on some crosses and balls put into the box yet again. Important one on one save against Torres kept us in the game. Simpson 6.5 Defensively sound but was rarely challenged to Liverpool being quite narrow. Doesn't offer much going forward and not that great on the ball. Taylor 7 Still looks a little rusty/not 100% match fit for me. Can never doubt that he puts in 100% though. Decent game Campbell 5 I think he might have pushed on for one season too many. Can't keep up with the pace of the game. Good backup but made one costly mistake and potentially a few others. Would only play him against a forward with alot of muscle i.e Carlton Cole. Enrique 6.5 Similar to Simpson but can do better. Barton 8.5 The change to our set piece quality today is obvious to all to see. Great crosser of the ball to. Tidy on the ball and puts himself about. Tiote 8 Another rock solid performance from Tiote who mopped up and stopped liverpool going through the middle corridor more than I can remember. Im jealous of the ball that got the honor to touch his genitals tbh Nolan 6.5 Only completed 5 passes by half time which isn't enough for a CM imo. Unrivaled goal scoring instincts. Jonas 5.5 Was very quiet for me today. Not as much running as usual and sloppy passing Ameobi 5.5 No business starting imo. Just doesn't have the engine to play in the premier league. Size and strength was a decent outlet today though. Carroll 8.5 Won so many important headers today which i didn't think he would be able to do against Skrtel and the Greek guy who are both big CB's. Top finish for a deserved goal. Ranger 7 Exactly what you want from a sub. Really troubled the Liverpool defence with his physicality. Needs to work on composure though.
  5. Damn, put Torres as my captain and left Carroll on the bench for my fantasy league team

    Alan Pardew

    Body language looks mediocre...
  7. I really think he will be here a long time and will be the first NUFC manager under the Mike Ashley reign to get his full support.
  8. Lallana could make the step up to this level imo
  9. Absolutely. You can build a team around him. There really aren't that many players you can say that about, and certainly not many "homegrown" players. The general opinion at the time we sold Berbatov was that Levy had done really well in getting 30M. Likewise Keane for 20M (which really was nuts). The problem was, that crippled our forward line and although we got Modric in, the rest of the money went on people like Pav. Of course, Berbs wanted to go, but if (for argument's sake) he'd stayed and the Keane money had got Modric, what a team we'd be. You're not doing too badly right now Defoe and Crouch are hardly poor strikers.
  10. Bruno Cesar looks the pick of the bunch from Brazil and in particular Corinthians for me. Has Alan Pardew written all over him
  11. If there is a positive it is that perhaps Mike Ashley will finally back and support a manager he trusts.
  12. http://twitter.com/#!/RachelCNUWFC Newcastle womens player saying we have signed Jol and been announced on radio?
  13. I did see some Indian people on the bench i didn't recognise V West Brom
  14. It's not like Ashley has much reason to not trust Hughton with his money. Tiote, Simpson, Williamson have all been great signings.
  15. O'Neill is the only UK based manager i will accept.
  16. i'm willing to give this 24 hours before I make a judgement.
  17. In his defence, zolton hasn't been particularly antagonistic, there are just some peeps with very short fuses on this board
  18. Krul 5- Thought he might have been able to do better with the last two goals, one or two nervous moments. Simpson 5- Very little going forward, mediocre passing. Would have been screwed if he was up against Tchoyi all game but handled a very one dimensional Thomas ok Campbell 4.5- Can't play 90 minutes, was very poor first 10 minutes and looked off the pace all game. Played defence splitting passes towards the end to put in Jonas which were our best passes all day. Taylor 5- tbh i didn't think he did that much wrong. Had plenty of chances to sweep up after Odemwingie's first though. A little rusty but understandably. Enrique 6- Dealt with a very tricky customer in tchoyi quite capably I thought. Passing was poor but that was down to a lack of options as much as him having a bad day. Routledge 5.5 - got a few decent crosses in but never found himself in much space to do anything. Guthrie 2.5 - Ratshit, hope the injury wasn't serious not that i want to see him back at all. Tiote 6.5 - lost the ball once or twice but also stopped many attacking plays from WBA before they started. No Tiote today would have seen us get really fucked up. Jonas 4.5 - Should have got a better shot off when he got through. I felt he went missing today and very soft in any challenges. Ameobi 4 - Can win a header but that is about all he is good for in the premiership. (+Penalties). Shouldn't have started today and I hope he won't again next match. Carroll 4.5 - first bad game of the season Lovenkrands 5.5 Has the capability to get free from a marker which is why i've said he should start ahead of Ameobi the last few games and today. Fluffs chances but more importantly gets them. Totally outplayed by quick players that with great speed, stamina, close control and passing
  19. Credit to the lad. I wrote him off as not being of a premier league standard but he has definitely looked just that so far.
  20. Palacios was rubbish for Spurs this morning...Liverpool have Lucas playing in that position for them...I'm starting to get paranoid
