  1. I may be wrong but don't they have association with Northumberland through the Hotspur family or something like that?
  2. I didn't. Might have a look. Still like the other 'slogan' as well, that's not being critical of your otherwise excellent range of t-shirts though.
  3. While the Nile Ranger t-shirt is superb, could we have a more conservatively coloured one with say "bumbaclart duppy mannnn" on it? It's the colour that puts me off the other one.
  4. The clubs statement is wrong, it was not racism. Like the way you're suddenly seeing club statements as coorect.
  5. Because the mainstream opinion is not always the right opinion. For example, most people think Gordon Brown is not at fault for our problems, apparently. This has been completely thrown out of proportion, partly as a result of Mido's childish cries of racism. It's not, but some people no matter what point there is, decide to go against it. I'm not going to discuss another thread with you on this one, but you are spot on with the bit in bold.
  6. Why is it that some people wwill do anything to go against mainstream opinion?
  7. Why are people STILL talking about it being racist? IT'S NOT RACIST. Why are people embarrassed about some mutants jumping up and down about it? It wasn't about his religion, not sure why he's brought that up, unless he's points scoring. As someone has already said, he learly doesn't take his religion seriously. As for putting off arab buyers
  8. Pointless reacting until we know what it was the were chanting. If it was the Mido stuff, not sure how that would stand up with the 'racial chanting' accusation. Have you ever been arrested and subsequently charged with racial chanting by police? I haven't. Morons. Nope. Wonder how it was just those two though?

  10. Apart from anything else, I love the Daily Mail getting on their high horse about racist abuse. On top that Wullie, there are so many things wrong with that article it's untrue.
  11. It is quite laughable with the Yanks, but it is a bit strange that the Aussies don't do it bearing in mind that they are an even younger country in our terms Yeah, I can just see them pronouncing themselves as "Convo Brit-Australian" loud and proud. That's the bit of their identity they struggle with. There are sizeable popultaions of Croatians, Greeks and Thai expats in Oz. Don't here the same thing from them.

  13. After the fuss made last year I'd be amazed if anyone was unaware that it get dredged up again if the bomb chants were repeated. That's why I don't accept it was innocent banter, at best it was downright stupid everything considered, which is why I don't see the need to bend over backwards defending such daft actions. Have a long hard look at the people who caused the 'fuss'. Wwheeessss keeeeeyyyyyssss Louise from the guardian? Correct both times. Certain people with agendas as well as the usually 'outraged about something, life isn't fair' smoggies. Nothing happened then, nothing will happen now, because people know that it is a storm in a teacup. Even Southgate has said as much.

  15. Everyone else? I'm not bowing to the man, just understanding him. Now where's that wipe gone, I need to get the shit off my nose.
  16. Dave I'm surprised he thought that about you, especially as in the past you've shown a lot of intolerance towards people who don't seem to get things or make grammatical errors. Not sure why he would think that. TBF to Dave, it wasn't that bad. I suppose sometimes the written word doesn't always come over how you mean it.
  17. Abusing someone on the basis of their nationality. Didn't you follow the quotes? Clearly not. The australian bit or the Mido bit? http://www.newcastle-online.org/nufcforum/index.php/topic,58121.msg1586637.html#msg1586637 The Australian bit. I was merely pointing out that abusing someone on the basis of their race is not the same as abusing someone on the basis of their nationality, even though both are examples of bigotry. Geddit? I do. Don't get uppity, just wanted to understand.

  19. Is that a 'if I don't know, I don't care' statement? It's a 'if you read the OP you'll see I'd rather your email address was correct, but if not, just turn off all notifications to stop emails bouncing' statement. :toke:
  20. Is that a 'if I don't know, I don't care' statement?
  21. Maybe an unusual situation, but here we go: You've got my work e-mail address (didn't get an e-mail), but as I'm emigrating and my personal e-mail is a paid for msn account I won't have a valid e-mail (for this site) for maybe a month or two. Can you suspend my e-mail, but not access for a bit please? We emigrate on the 12th of Jan and I'm counting on sites like this to keep me informed. Ta.
  22. I was just getting over Dave's raging Xenophobia and gingeritis when I found out fredbob thinks all Muslims are Paedophiles and Ozziemandias thinks all football supporters who sing are thick! I can't believe such ignorance and stereotyping is allowed on here tbh!!! Shameful It's mental, someone will stick up for Shepherd soon sorry, that was aimed at Dave and what he posted, it wasn't a general question.
  23. Nationality =/= race. Race =/= Religion Why is it not just as bad? Is it not incitement to antipodean hatred? Is hatred of Australians okay in your evil twisted mind Dave? I've not finished the thread, but my first thought was why would it be ok to condemn nationality but not race... Dave is an evil b****** though. Point out where I said it's okay then. FWIW yes it's still bigotry, but I don't feel it's anywhere near the same level. What is bigotry?
  24. They have the 'outraged of Middlesbrough' attitude about a few things. It seems to diappear when they sing songs about rapists though. I wouldn't worry, they were writing to the FA , UEFA, FIFA and the RSPCA last season to try and get us banned, points deducted and, and everything.
  25. Just undermined your own argument there. No I haven't. Singing about Mido looking like Richard Reid is entirely different to singing about him being in Mubai due to his religion. And yet you just made the racist connection Muslim = terrorist. Outed yourself, basically. And the song says nowt about Richard Reid. Can't believe the thickos who were singing it even know what Reid looks like, tbh. Outed myself??? As what? Racist? No that would be wrong as being a Muslim isn't a race. Of course I made the link, I'm an intelligent 32 year old NUFC supporter, it wasn't difficult - Mubai, Muslim terrorists, Mido is a Muslim. That's wrong, as I've already stated. Maybe in the future - just so you and the rest of the 'hang NUFC' southern press can be sure - they should sing: Miiiidoo, he looks like Richard Reid you know. I love the assumption that all of those peope singing the song were thick. Maybe you have outed yourself?? I always liked your username, but you're obviously just a dumb bigot. Begone. I cannot stand judgement of another person on their looks or beliefs A hypocrite, too, then. Nice try, but no. Saying someone looks like someone else and taking the piss out of them, is a lot different to judging someones character on their looks or belief system. Have any NUFC fans sung anything about him being a bad person or were they taking the piss? I didn't realise they had accused him planting bombs etc in the song. Was Ray Parlour adversly affected because we sang about him looking like Shirley Temple? Should we have been done for sexism? Or is this apparent 'racism' crap worse than that. What you need to do to prove your point is to prove why the song was being sung, which you can't. You can only assume the song was being sung in that way to cast your own aspersions. Pointless really.
