  1. Dunno if this has been posted already but a couple of places reporting today that Sanchez is unhappy at Arsenal.
  2. Put some quick, attacking players with an ounce of creativity around Cabella and lo and behold, he suddenly looks far more effective
  3. Looking forward to seeing Perez get a proper run-out despite the fact that he'll inevitably be confined to the bench/stiffs for the rest of his NUFC career after 90 mins of zero service and complete isolation today.
  4. The fuck was Glen Johnson doing for that goal?
  5. Mapou was miles off Lewandowski there to be fair.
  6. Mapou with a quality reverse pass just then
  7. Is that Robertson injured or something? He looked class against Georgia. Can't quite believe Poland didn't score there

    Remy Cabella

Honestly, you could put David Silva in this team and he would look complete s****. It's obvious that Cabella's not a patch on Ben Arfa, but he's clearly got ability and his creativity is being stifled by a w*** manager and a set of teammates who couldn't make a convincing foray forward if their lives depended on it. In the right system and around the right players, Cabella will come good.
  9. He sounds pretty shaky in this interview like.
  10. You say "the club" as if the only direction people at "the club" take is from MA. We have no idea where that direction came from, but I'm sure if AP tells Wendy/The Tea Lady/any other lacky c***, to get in touch with Stoke and ask them to close the area, then they would. I find it extremely doubtful that you could do something like this without some sort of approval from the management. It unfortunately jives with all of the other things we've seen for the past few weeks: giving away players he doesn't get along with, confiscating the sackpardew banners etc. He's here for as long as Ashley is here. But you literally have no proof to support that. Ashley says nothing, and by all accounts has been exceptionally hands-off for the majority of his tenure. I'm sure no matter what, whether it's a lacky, or maybe even Charnley, they'd do what AP asked for, and IMO it means absolutely nothing with regards to his potential sacking. Right now he's NUFC manager, and they're going to "support" him, but it doesn't mean s*** if we don't get results. Of course I'm just making an educated guess here, but I think if he was ever going to be sacked over results it would have happened months ago. At that point we were safe. It meant absolutely nothing to Ashley to be losing those games. We continue that for another month or two? We're in real danger, and fatman will make his move. Hopefully he'll do it a lot earlier than that, obviously. We were in deep, deep s*** two seasons ago and Ashley barely flinched. Then he survived another half season of basically losing every game. He's bulletproof. If he's ever sacked the reasons will have nothing to do with football. He sanctioned the signing of Sissoko, Gouffran, Debuchy, Yanga-Mbiwa etc in January to be fair. Given how tight Ashley normally is with transfers, I'd take that little splurge as a sure sign of panic.
  11. Exactly - it works both ways. Not a chance that Pardew would have brought Cabaye, Ben Arfa, Cisse et al to the club if he had complete control over transfers.
  12. Hull have a pretty exciting side like. Hernandez and Ramirez as well as HBA, not bad at all.
  13. Shades of HBA against Everton in that strike.
  14. i think moyes will be his first move 100%, he'll offer him a middling basic and good performance-related to get him near a decent PL salary moyes will be flush after 10 years at everton and a manyoo payoff, he might just take it I think Moyes would love to manage Newcastle and I think we'd probably offer him a decent wage. But he'd want far more input on the players we sign and I don't think he'd agree with our transfer policy. Just can't see it for that reason. Moyes would definitely want control over transfer policy but he worked well with a limited budget at Everton, which is something that might appeal. If we can give Moyes a reasonable wage and certain guarantees, I reckon he'd come.
  15. Based on the players we have, I'm convinced a foreign manager is the only way to go. There's no chance that the likes of Pulis would be able to get the best out of Anita, Cabella, De Jong etc, who are all suited to playing in positions outside of a rigid 4-4-2.
  16. Watford have a talented, if pretty bloated squad with some good technical players for the division (Forestieri, Vydra, Abdi, Deeney etc). The players were rumoured to have hated their old manager, Sannino, but are still sitting 2nd in the table. Garcia would be a good fit imo, but Watford should be making the playoffs at the very least this season so there's some pressure.
  17. It's a fucking England cap. Worse players than Colback have been called up in the past. He's nowhere near international standard like but good luck to the lad.
  18. That doesn't seem too bad a price tbf, considering Ozil and Sanchez cost over 10 after they came to Arsenal.
