  1. Nah he isn't. He's awful man. He genuinely offers nothing as a central midfielder. Doesn't score, assist, or drive the team forward. And his distribution is shocking. A prime example of a player hyped to ridiculous levels to early and now consistently proving the hype to false. Cleverley will do fine at Everton like.
  2. Eto'o to Everton according to the BBC. 2 year deal.
  3. There was a moment in the first half when he rolled Kompany and got to the by-line. Completely fucked the cross up like, but he'll be a real handful for some of the defenders in the PL.

Very bright today. Lovely little ball over the top for that Perez chance and all. Appears to lack Hatem's explosive acceleration but has a real eye for a pass. Definitely promising, and I'm looking forward to seeing him alongside De Jong.
  5. Needs to be playing through the middle, but I fear he'll be shunted out wide to accommodate De Jong and Tiote in the coming weeks.
  6. Worked hard and passed it reasonably well but we look poor on the break and generally pretty toothless going forward.
  7. Riviere looks a handful at least. Rolled Kompany easily enough there.
  8. I'm not sure actually. I think Ashley will be expecting a pretty swift return on this summer's outlay, and if Pardew doesn't deliver quickly, he could be in a bit of trouble. Not expecting a total thrashing but City will stroll to a routine 2-0 win. Cue Pardew praising our 'competitiveness' and work rate post-match because we kept the score down lower than last season.
  9. Final draft...until tomorrow http://i.imgur.com/oYrN6SV.png
  10. Zabaleta was first name on my team sheet for the last 2 seasons but now he's too expensive compared to the alternatives - Shaw, Debuchy etc. Aguero is too much of a risk with his injury record. I'm also torn between Dzeko and Jovetic up top. The pick of the City lot, imo, is Silva, who is reasonably priced and always scores well. As has been said though, City have a tough start and I reckon Mata, Fabregas, Ramsey and the like are better options for the time being.
  11. Wondering whether to swap Dzeko for Jovetic and save half a million. Looked lively yesterday and has had a strong pre-season by all accounts.
  12. Anyone think Jovetic could be on for a big season?
  13. Team's almost there: Szczesny Debuchy Shaw B. Davies Mata Fabregas Sigurdsson Lamela Diego Costa Rooney Dzeko Not 100% on Fabregas - might switch him out for Ramsey, but Chelsea have a good run of games. Lamela's also a bit of a punt but he's had a good pre-season, should start regularly under Pochettino and not many other teams have him. Eriksen's safer for the same price but less of a differential. Aside from those 2 though, I reckon I'm pretty set.
