We don't know for certain that they all do want Shearer anyway, the media don't even know who the parties are so they're just speculating.
True, looking at from an investment standpoint though, Shearer is one of the most valuable assets, aside from the fans and the stadium. So I can't understand anyone looking to buy the club not wanting him there.
More reason for the buying parties to not want him appointed then?
My guess is those interested reckon as he's not at the club as an asset the sale price will be a bit lower. Then they'll ride into town, appoint Shearer anyway and take all the glory. Probably already tipped him off.
I hope the four parties interested are as shrewd as that. The problem is that by the end of the month it sounds like we still won't have a squad.
