Lovenkrands wont be fit in time. I reckon he'll probably start on the bench. We should be able to get 20 minutes out of him.

I think we'd be better off trying to get a few of these "emergency loans" which will tide us over till about November, and possibly look at getting one more free player. I think Pamarot would be a good addition, I'm sure he played a fair few games for Portsmouth last season.

That's been doing my nut in for quite some time now.

I've never rated Richard Dunne, honestly. He's too slow off the mark and he tends to make a lot of rash judgements which is a shit attribute for a central defender to have, resulting in a fair few own goals and red cards. He is good in the air tbf to him, and fairly decent positionally, but he just doesn't have the mental attributes to be a top 6 defender, in my opinion.

Yes, I'd still like him here please. With Dowie as assistant. And Hughton to be retained in a senior coaching role.

James Collins should be ahead of Dunne. Collins isn't spectacular by any means but he's a fairly solid, standard defender. Dunne is a fat shambles of a player, O'Neill must be mental to think he's good enough for a top 6 team

If we have Smith playing like he did last night also, I agree. I think the lack of Nicky Butt also is a factor in our new found defensive capability.
