  1. Bradford -1 Coventry -1 Double with the last £1 in my account, pays about £9.
  2. I love John Gwynne and his fucking brilliant shouty rugby league commentators voice.
  3. Nixon insisted to me a while back that he kept Marwood out of the school team at right back.
  4. Gary Bennett plays for one of the teams in my dad's over 40s league and apparently he's totally shite now anarl.
  5. I know! Campbell, playing in a football match!

    Steven Taylor

I don't really fancy any of our four central defenders to do a good job against Suarez and Sturridge. I think I'd go Colo and MYM regardless. Williamson is far too slow to play against them and Taylor will be rusty.
  7. Am I the only one who saw Wilshere's comments and thought "what the fuck has it got to do with him?" He's only been playing for England for five minutes, it's absolutely none of his business. P.s agree with the fact that it's mental Januzaj has scored one brace and is now being touted as an England player. Macheda says hi from Doncaster.
  8. Some great free advertising for Benson and Hedges when away fans look on the back of this comprehensive guide.
  9. It's quite interesting how managers that come up to the PL with a relatively unfancied side and either go down with them or are harshly sacked mid-season are always rated a lot lower in general perception than managers who have a good record in the Championship without actually going up to the Premier League. Boothroyd, Holloway, Adkins, McDermott, Warnock... none particularly rated really. Yet look at Poyet, Clark, Howe, O'Driscoll etc... the media love talking them up (and others) as potentially fantastic managers.
  10. This forum has made me absolutely despise the word 'sympathiser' like.

    Papiss Cissé

I've got a horrible feeling he'll pair Cisse and Remy as a front two in a 4-4-2 against Liverpool.
  12. GW8: Newcastle 1-3 Liverpool Arsenal 1-0 Norwich Chelsea 3-0 Cardiff City Everton 3-1 Hull City Man Utd 2-1 Southampton Stoke City 1-1 West Brom Swansea 2-0 Sunderland West Ham 1-2 Man City Aston Villa 0-0 Tottenham Crystal Palace 1-0 Fulham
  13. 2 spot on and 4 correct results so far with the two games currently in play to go. Had a good week.

    Alan Pardew

They beat Man City though, whilst I agree we should be aiming to outplay and control games against these sort of sides, a win is a win, especially considering our propensity to be shit away from home (which has been the case for aeons) and ability to roll over for the promoted sides every year. Don't get me wrong - I despise Pardew and I'm feeling a lot of apathy at the moment. It's just nice to win tbh.

    Sunderland

Wasn't bothered when they scored, knew they'd lose it. So hilarious.
  16. Hopefully it was a good enough showing for them to make a nice cash bid in January.
  17. Bobby Elliot, Ireland's number one
  18. Was gonna stay at home and attempt to follow the game but I honestly cannot be arsed now I've seen that line-up. Gonna head to the pub and indulge in some lovely apathy when I get told we're getting beat by everyone else.
  19. Anita might as well get his agent looking for his next move. Doesn't matter how well he plays, because 'midfield warrior' Tiote will always get back in regardless of how obviously shit he is.
  20. He was probably the top performer during that horrendous November-December losing run last season and he was dropped during that.
  21. Dropping two of the best performers this season, fucking laughable.
  22. GW7: Man City 2-1 Everton Cardiff City 1-1 Newcastle Fulham 0-1 Stoke City Hull City 1-1 Aston Villa Liverpool 3-0 Crystal Palace Sunderland 0-2 Man Utd Norwich 1-3 Chelsea Southampton 2-0 Swansea Tottenham 2-0 West Ham West Brom 1-2 Arsenal
  23. Like fuck would I trust Pardew to implement a successful 3-5-2 style formation. I still have nightmares about Shearer doing it away at Stoke, deploying David Edgar as a sort of half-sweeper for christs sake.
  24. We don't know that he 'refused' to play there, though. He obviously wanted to play through the middle and clearly made this plain to Pardew; I think Pardew knew how important he was to us and therefore tried to keep him sweet to everybody else's detriment.
  25. Pardew has talked at length about how close Dummett is, so it could well be his time to have a go at the PL left-back spot.
