Would be highly disappointed in the caliber of striker we'd bought, but signings of Kenedy, Dubravka, Schar and Bryan (unlikely) would be fine. Ki for Merino and no #10 would be infuriating though. Either way, Rafa's going.

That's the thing, this is merely to compete. Our only hope is that we hold off relegation for a few years - write those seasons off - and pray for a hero to eventually buy us off Ashley. Then we can compete again, maybe pull off coups like Seri, Schurrle, Felipe Anderson etc. Just hang on for a while

Schurrle is a winger so probably not. Unless it leaves them skint, but I doubt it as they very much need a new striker - whether it's Mitrovic or someone else. So what about Sessegnon? Unless Schurrle now goes on the right.
