Chelsea are in some rotten form, which makes me more sure they'll beat us
-
I actually think we might get one more in - a proper one. Simpson out
-
Reading are bloody annoying, whilst only Villa and Southampton (just!) lost this week.
-
I'm 90% sure i used to work with him. We used to fear him
-
They've only done that because it rhymes.
-
After last night, I'd definitely have him. I still reckon we've got one more transfer in us.
-
Linked with Van Wolfswinkel and Hooper, but they end up with Becchio. Bit of a letdown, even though Becchio is actually ok.
-
A mackem I follow on twitter has a habit of sarcastically tweeting "bet that was MON's fault as well" when bad things happen to Villa. I don't think he gets that it actually is.
-
Hasn't Cameron been really good for them though?
-
I'm a big fan of Samba (the player, not the dance), he'd do worryingly well at QPR.
-
I'd register Mapou over Debuchy, especially if Simpson stays. We'd have decent numbers for full back, although it all depends on how seriously Pardew takes this competition. If we can get points before the first leg, we might go for it.
-
Pardew said that Marveaux was set to start before his injury, so there's every reason to assume Jonas wouldn't have.
-
Oh and yes - without doubt - Ba will score past us. Just be hopeful it's only once!
-
Reckon we can get something from this - both because of our potential and Chelsea's lumbering of late. Krul Debuchy Taylor Coloccini Santon Yanga-Mbiwa Cabaye Gouffran Sissoko Marveaux Cisse
-
Always had complete faith that he'd be back and it looks like he will be. Superb striker, he'll benefit most from our new look team.
-
Wasn't too impressed with him tonight, truth be told - really needs to stop getting booked. He'll still turn into a big player for us though, I'm sure of that.
-
Yep. He's basically Obertan but with talent and a brain
-
Optimistic for the future having seen him play with Sissoko tonight. No niggling injuries, no 4-4-2s, surrounded by mates and slowly exerting his captaincy potential - I think Yo will be outstanding for us and we'll look far better because of it.
-
Wow, things are harsh in here. The first half felt like we'd revolutionised football, we were that dominant - Sissoko was marvellous and his pass to Cisse was beautiful. It was probably the best we'd played all season because we looked comfortable on the ball, had movement etc. Villa came out possessed in the second half and I don't really think that was our fault. They made things go at 100mph and that was tough for the new lads. If Villa play like that every week they can still escape from this, they were very threatening. We rode our luck on many occasions though but our defending was resolute and we somehow saw it out (with about 10 years shaved off my life!!!). Both halves were positive in different ways. However, Pardew's subs still baffle me and I honestly don't want to see Jonas in our shirt again - he was disgracefully bad. Also thought Debuchy was poor, as well as Mike Dean. Things look better for us

Big win tonight, I'm reducing mine to 4.
-
Been waiting all season for that performance - sensational stuff. Until we get that 3rd though, I'll not relax
-
Holy crap, what have we just bought? Monster.
-
No Simpson, no Williamson - four magical words I thought I'd never say!
