Pardew hinted at a new formation last summer (i think?) and we briefly tried it in January, but 4-3-3 doesn't work with Guthrie-Perch in midfield and Simpson at right back. Gervinho was probably targeted with that in mind. I reckon we're ultimately heading to a 4-3-3, but we need another full back and the right type of CM to go with Tiote and Cabaye. Signing Cisse might change things though...we shouldn't really bump Ba onto a wing. So I hope Pardew has a plan!

I think similar. In no doubt that the club would accept an offer but Liverpool have Lucas, Arsenal don't spend, Chelsea's new manager will want better, Spurs don't need him, Man City can buy anybody in the world, which only leaves Man United. I think Ben Arfa, Ba, Simpson, Best, Guthrie and crap (Smith, Xisco, Harper, Ranger, Loven) will go.

Evans in for Smalling this week. Hoping to bring in Papiss and King in soon, as well as a 7-8m midfielder to replace Valencia (who has Young and Nani to compete with).

If Mourinho goes there I imagine he'd have his sights set higher - hopefully!

I like the look of Kara Mbodj from Tromso, but would he get a work permit on appeal? If Tiote does go, he'd be a decent replacement.
