    Sunderland...

Of course, we could easily go down to 5th too
  2. With our squad theres several players where an injury would be a big problem - Obertan isn't one of them. We only have 5 defenders, up front we'd have to play Lovenkrands, but midfield? Theres Marveaux, Guthrie, Gosling or even Ben Arfa. Good performance against Stoke but for me, Wigan is still fresh in the memory.

  4. I think the guests offer a nice sideshow to the action and they're often good interviews. Much more relaxing atmosphere - its a shame its on a Sunday.
  5. The bow tie completes it, for me
  6. Not sure whether to take Nani or Rooney out this weekend.....they should win but I fancy bringing in Van Persie, Hernandez or Van der Vaart. Decisions, decisions.
  7. That is lush, ZeRoE. Shame it didn't happen last time.
  8. Wilkins' commentary of Man Utd vs Chelsea consisted of "Isn't it great to be here, Martin? Days like this make you love football. Football is great" and "Isn't it great to be alive, folks?" every 5 minutes.
  9. Now we can see who lives on the island on Shearer's head. Great news.

    Alan Pardew

So now we've passed 6 months unbeaten in the league.....great credit to Pardew. Like many I was furious to see him here, but I'm happy to say he's proved us wrong and has shown how tactically astute and media savvy he is. The team has completely bonded and he seems to be a great motivator. Long may this continue
  11. Poor Neil. However, he'll soon get to see Tony Hibbert eating fried chicken....

    Sunderland...

Mag in a Care Home said he hopes Jackie Milburn doesn't steal Tiote's Calippo. Take that for what its worth.....
  13. After the 3 nasty games we've got coming, theres another easy run of games. Once thats over, we've played everyone......so I don't agree with us 'not being tested'.
  14. Now the adrenaline has worn off, I think a sensible & measured prediction would be 27-0. Tiote back in for Guthrie but otherwise unchanged (which means more Obercrap).

    Sunderland...

OK after tonight are they really keeping this up? I mean.....none of their 'points' make sense on any level. Its like we're living in opposite world. Kernts.
  16. How come you're all doing so well? :D I had a good week and got 42 points! Hoping to perfect the team soon by bringing in Hernandez, Van der Vaart, Sessegnon and Begovic.

    Danny Guthrie

Been against Guthrie for a while, but fair play to him he was very very good tonight. Really impressed.
  18. Absolutely exceptional. Just incredible.....almost the perfect performance and I can't believe we did it. Was so comfortable, even with Perch on.
  19. Swansea's short passing from Saturday, by The Guardian's chalkboards http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/blog/2011/oct/31/premier-league-chalkboard-analyis Their commitment to a short passing game is remarkable for such a relative minnow – only Chelsea (59%) and Arsenal (58%) enjoy a higher average percentage of possession than Swansea's 57%, and the technical quality across the side was evident on Saturday, particularly in midfield. An impressive 93% of their passes were short, more than any other side this weekend. Joe Allen and Leon Britton attempted 152 passes between them, misplacing only one. Britton's 100% pass completion rate is extremely rare, and his 67 passes without misplacing any is the most by any Premier League player for six seasons. Brendan Rogers has shown it is possible for a side with minimal resources to compete in the Premier League while playing attractive football – and their performance at the weekend was one of their dominant to date. They completed 654 passes, while Owen Coyle's Bolton completed only 253.
  20. We're better than them in central midfield (even without Tiote) so its important we focus on that. Theres no point hoofing it around as they'll slaughter us, but we should just play it on the ground like we now have the players to do. High defensive line to nullify their slow strikers, although I fear their wingers against Simpson and Raylor could be uncomfortable viewing. Pulis has a habit of playing centre backs at full back so I'd tell Jonas to go at them and when Ben Arfa comes on, Stoke will be petrified. Its a clash of styles, so it'll be an interesting game.
