Can you still buy that in the shops or is it an online job? Not sure because I bought it online. I'm sure it'll be in a shop somewhere, though.

Aye I got 'The Ball is Round' a few years ago and I've really tried - but theres a lot there. I kinda just stopped reading. When it gets past WW2 it might get more interesting. 'Why England Lose' is a fun read though. Agree about the Lyon section....basically saying that using 'the wisdom of crowds' to sign players has done wonders.
-
That'll be the magedia though. No way are we bigger than the mighty fucking Sunderland.
-
Wildcard used, now its business time: Given, Ruddy P Jones, Bosingwa, Kompany, S Taylor, Enrique Silva, Ramsey, Nani, Bannan, Ben Arfa Rooney, Best, Sturridge (until Adebayor is back) BRING. IT. ON.
-
Reckon he's playing. Thanks
-
Whats the latest on Adebayor? For fantasy league purposes...
-
Lets hope he can pronounce the officer's name.
-
By keeping him, the club are losing money but getting rid means he's won. Its not fair The only fitting punishment is forcing him to Doncaster on loan.
-
Subbed off. Don't worry lads (and lasses), he's safe.
-
Booked. Blanc should take him off now, just in case.....

because we aren't on the training ground day in day out to see if ben arfa, marveaux and santon are ready to start yet, also if putting two or three of them in may be a little too disruptive when it isn't a dire necessity. it's not as if they've just missed a game through suspension. for what it's worth i think we'll see the same starting line up as wolves and and that will be the end of that 11's run regardless of the score. I agree that too many changes might backfire, but we know Santon is a better LB than Raylor and that he's ready to be given a try (played for U21s and well for the reserves). Can understand not wanting to split Best and Ba up though.
-
I hate this idea that we have to lose to bring our good players into the team. Why don't we just pick a team that can beat Spurs? In other words, Santon and possibly Ben Arfa in.
-
Hmmm, I don't think we play the mackems for a while.
-
Its a shame Shola is so shit because he's a nice, wonderful man and a great professional.
-
Awww no vuvuzelas at the ACN. Awww how bad for them. Awwww poor fucking morons.
-
We should have that over here. I'd struggle to pick three I like (maybe Everton, Chelsea and one other), but the three i don't would be Liverpool, Sunderland and Spurs. Or Stoke. Or Man United!
-
No Alan, play it safe with this one. Give it another month or so.
-
Class Must say though, it isn't THAT mental to compare Ben Arfa to VdV. He can realistically become one of the best in the league. Think this'll be a really good match.

Worth digging up the podcasts from after our 0-1 at the Emirates and the 4-4. I'll give them a listen, thanks

Listened to that 'Tuesday Club' podcast with Alan Davies today. It's all about Arsenal, but it's funny stuff - especially his hatred for Clive Allen.

People go on about the lack of English talent coming through but theres a good set coming up to go with Hart, Walcott and Adam Johnson. Theres Jones, Wilshere, Sturridge, Smalling, Rodwell, Cleverley, Richards, Welbeck, Oxlade-Chamberlain and Carroll. Add in McEachran/Wickham and England could have a nice WC2014 team.
-
No matter who plays, England won't win it. I don't really care about them but the ideal squad would have a bit of everything - like a toolbox. Oxlade-Chamberlain would be a good wild card, but none of the wingers deserve to not go. GK: Hart, Foster, Carson DEF: M Richards, P Jones, Terry, Cahill, Jagielka, Ferdinand, A Cole, Jagielka MID: Wilshere, Gerrard, Lampard, A Johnson, Walcott, Young, Carrick, Downing FOR: Rooney, Sturridge, Carroll, Bent (Just missing out are Smalling, G Johnson, Lescott, Lennon, Parker, Welbeck) Won't name a starting XI because that depends who they're against.

And it begins.....
