    Hatem Ben Arfa

lets send 'get well soon' cards, in French, to his hotel. he'd love that.....
  3. http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/3163401/Adam-Johnson-makes-Newcastle-pay-for-rejecting-him.html Wow, didn't realise he supported us. Or that we rejected him....

Strangely me too, just one of them games where i've genuinly felt like shite afterwards. Life was great in the championship... I genuinely have a "what was the point?" attitude today. The transfer saga was stressful, we had the jubilation of getting him, the pre-match anticipation of seeing him play, the joy of seeing his performance at Everton and the general happiness of knowing that a world class player played for my team. All that emotion ultimately went to waste, because he managed little over 3 matches. I just feel like any time I raise my hopes about football, something puts paid to that. We're due some serious luck!
  5. If we don't win this match then we don't really deserve to stay up, taking Stoke and Bpool into account too. A gigantic must win game and I'm a bit worried. Could go any way.

We're in early October, do we count this month as well? If so it's March. I had it as 3rd October + 2 months = 3rd December. +1 = 3rd January and then +3 = 3rd April. Roughly.

February is 4 months, so it looks like April.

In Hollywood he'd recover with 7-8 games to go and single handedly drag us out of the relegation zone. His last minute winner against West Brom on the final day sparks a pitch invasion and as he is being lifted on somebody's shoulders he declares over the microphone "I love Newcastle. I'm staying. ADRIAAAAAAAAN". As much as this sucks, there might still be time to rescue us. The HBA story continues....
  9. Very impressed with him. If we persist with him, we'll not go far wrong. And maybe it'll force S Taylor to RB, if that thought has entered Hughton's head.
  10. no they can't. waste of a programme really....
  11. this 'Respect' campaign is a farce. they don't deserve an inch of respect, which may come across as harsh but the standard is so, so low.
  12. The Ben Arfa injury dramatically rose the number for me. But the performance today drops it slightly. Changed from a 3 to a 7

I tried to stay away, but here it goes. What happened today was a tragedy. All that hype, happiness and potential is now for nothing. For the team, this is a monumental blow and we're now in trouble, but HBA himself must be in tears. Did anybody catch the little thumbs up he gave as he was stretchered off? To me it feels like the end of the world (although obviously it isnt) and one of the very worst things that could've happened to the club. After a month of following him at the airport, going on strike and the eventual delivery a world class player, to see him break his leg after 3 games and 3 minutes is heartbreaking and i was completely numb for the rest of the match. We got a glimpse of a Geordie hero and had him cruelly snatched away. Its going to be a sad few days. What might have been.....

  16. All I've managed to do for Saturday is a double on Middlesbrough and West Brom. Theres very little that tempts me.
  17. To be honest we've waited ages for a proper trophy and it might take even longer til the next. Gerrard cheats every week and nothing ever gets done. I'd take it.
  18. He'll definitely be in the senior squad then. Don't think he's good enough quite yet, but then again Heskey and Zamora have got in lately so there really aren't any standards. Good luck to him.
  19. Contemplating putting Jones or Odemwingie in
  20. Just about to mention him, he's more than a good FM player. He's fantastic for Clunge. Andrej Kramaric is good too.
  21. Arguably, its a better collection of strikers than: Wigan: Rodallega, Boselli, Di Santo, Moses West Brom: Cox, Odemwingie, Bednar, Miller, Fortune Bolton: Davies, Elmander, Blake, Klasnic Blackpool: Harewood, Ormerod, Varney, DJ Campbell Blackburn: Kalinic, Benjani, M Diouf, E Diouf, Roberts So while it could obviously be improved, there should be enough there to keep us up.

    Players in public

The fire alarm went off at about 1.45am and the place was evacuated. Think they let people back in though, while I went to catch the Nightbus. EDIT: For the record, I was only still there for the warmth. My mates left 5 minutes earlier but the bus was due for 2.15. It was a conundrum, but for £5 entry, I'm snatching as much heat from them as possible! Pointless story.
  24. N'Zogbia deja vu, tbh. As long as Hughton doesn't call him Yoyo, Mono or Kyoto we might have a player.
