well if there was ANY slim chance of us getting him, thats now over. think how much they'd demand now!! its painful to see him do well after everything thats gone on.

absolute disaster if true. its even worse than that, honestly. our massive lead has been chipped away and now we might lose the bedrock of our defence. another year in the championship
-
we missed out on beckford cant believe it

Newcastle United Vs. Crystal Palace Wed. Jan 27th 2010 7:45pm KO

a horrible draw. but its a must win game -
burnley didn't set the division alight but they're holding their own at the moment. so theres hope. for the record, i think we'll throw it all away because that follows recent history.

just got back from the gym......so how bad was it?
-
Na sod it, lets just ask them not to sign anybody at all thats not a world class player so that people on here can whinge about us, its much easier than crazy ideas like 'back up' and 'squad depth' isnt it? Would rather want players in positions where we need them. A winger would do... Then we can look at more players in the summer Anyone agree with me that trying to get Huddlestone on loand for the rest of the season won't be a bad idea? In the same way that getting Xavi on loan for the rest of the season won't be a bad idea
-
Weiss and Solano - two right wingers we could've realistically got - gone in an hour
-
Caulkin has posted tomorrow's transfer section in The Times. It says Leon Best's contract is up in the summer and he's done alright this season. Worth a shot?
-
maybe beye will turn them down in footballing terms this won't do much for sunderland, but i'd be disappointed in the man if he did this. i know its his job, he's not from the area etc. but i thought his two years here would've meant something to him. don't do it habib!
-
Routledge or Weiss would be lovely
-
Growing up with Monday Night Football, complete with Andy Gray and his technology, is a wonderful memory. I quite like The Last Word too, despite the Sky 4 being the only ones that get clips.
-
Martin Tyler, Andy Gray, Peter Brackley and Jon Champion. Barry Davies was great
-
on trial at leicester, according to skysports.com
-
sky sports said earlier that he was on the verge of being loaned to watford, so i'm surprised we havn't went in on loan either. because if we get promoted, we'd need better back-up. pleased that we're getting him though, seems a handy transfer.
-
he was coming here to be back-up for taylor/colo......so i dunno how this can be a good signing for the mackems
-
permanent they said. if its cheap, then it should be a decent deal. no curtis davies then
-
how do we know its her account? i hope it is
-
For this season, Routledge is EXACTLY what we need. and it sounds like he's going on the cheap as well, we'd be silly to just let him go to Boro. Curtis Davies is way too good for this division....if we get him I think I'll go crazy.

What money ?? The money in the jar on top of the fridge. Theres enough for 3 Snickers, a Choc Ice and a Freddo
-
What's to be annoyed about? You have no idea if he is Championship standard never mind up to premier league standards. Nobody knows, all we have is opinions. But I reckon he'd be fine at this level. And I was desperate for Beck-eobi to storm the Championship
-
Glad the bid was rejected....i don't think he'd be good enough and our precious money would be better spent elsewhere
-
His comments are kind of true, but he's such a misery. Imagine living with THAT!! I can see him being unemployed in the near future too
-
We have second thoughts on buying a player, someone else snaps him up and he's a great success for them. I'm sure this has happened before..... A bit annoyed if this is true though.
